Great ideas, thanks. I found good magazine subscriptions for some family members. A kitchen garden one for my brother that had free seeds each month. National geographic kids magazine for a niece and nephew. People's Friend for my mother-in-law. Animal magazines for other nieces.

Gift cards for specialty catalogs can be a fun gift. Just make sure to give the recipient the catalog with it. It's also a good addition to a gift basket ( like a food gift basket with kitchen goods catalog/gift card).

I got it and returned it sadly. We have a family of 5 and I didn't feel like cooking in batches. We did upgrade our Breville toaster oven to the one with an air fryer and that worked well.

Teachers don’t like tea, homemade foods, bubble bath, candles, etc. as a rule of thumb. Teachers like gift cards to Target and Walmart unless otherwise specified. When I was a teacher, I would rather have received a $5 gift card from one of these stores. I know that doesn’t seem like much, but they will truly be thrilled. I’m way too practical to buy someone something I’m not sure they want, just to check a box. Better yet, go in with several other parents and pool your money! P.S. I love my Roomva - his name is Ramon! LOL

It's 2021 - and life is still crazy 😵 I want to give my 8-year old granddaughter a nice, normal Christmas. I got her a set of 20 acrylic paints that came with brushes and a pallet - and it's all in a nice case. I got her several wooden shapes from dollar tree and some frames as well as a couple canvases. She loves doing family activities. We will sit and paint with her. She can even make gifts. I got her the game HEADBANDS too. Again it's something we will enjoy as a family. I want to take full advantage of Grandma still being cool 😎 enough to hang out with lol. I like to give hand -crafted Amish soaps and Christmas Jelly to my friends. So far they both seem well received. I have to work on Teacher's gifts yet this year. I do NOT mean this offensively to anyone - I am just sharing a truth - 2 years ago my friend's daughter, who is a teacher, received 40 mugs for Christmas. Some were in sets some individual. It can get overwhelming. Not everyone has space to suddenly add 40 mugs. I know it's the thought that counts so I need to think outta the box a little. Nice to find your channel 😊

Consumables are great for older people as well as minimalists. Older people already have all the stuff they need or have very specific tastes. The worst presents are the big ones like giant stuffed toy's. It's arrogant to think that you have the right to take up so much space in another person's home.
