I'm sorry, but, that isn't the "insole". The Insole is the cushiony pad inside. outsole is outside.

Giirl, how do you keep the inside of the Groundies clean? I wore them hiking a couple of times (I know, I know. They're not really meant for that. Anyway..). Dust got inside and now the non-removable insole is super gross. Any suggestions on how to clean the inside of the shoe are much appreciated!

Haha you don’t! I have such a hard time keeping mine clean. I mostly use these as “dressy sneakers”

Your toes are not being forced into an unnatural position for extended periods of time and less back pain because the foot is on a level surface.

I will only speak for myself. I developed shin splints a few years ago, running. I dealt with that for about 3 years (from 2015 to winter 2017). November 2017 is when I made the switch to barefoot shoes. I didn't go ALL in, as easing into minimalist footwear is recommended. Over the months my shin splint pain began to disappear. The more I wore minimalist footwear or opted to be barefoot, the better I felt. My lower extremities were getting muscle stimulation they hadn't gotten in years. And I contribute all that to switching to minimalist footwear and being barefoot. Of course, I did exercises combined with wearing minimalist footwear to get better. I haven't had shin splints in years and I hope I never deal with them again. They were a constant lingering pain that just never seemed to go away and I'm happy they're gone. I'd would suggest doing a bit of research to see if it's right for you.
