Wetting your hand when you forget your catch cup would help the fish and create surface tension so they dont flop as much.

Love the underwater footage! You mentioned there was a lot of current, I wonder if using a heavier splitshot would be better or would that spook the fish?

Good question. I didn't have any larger ones with me here anyway, but I have noticed that sometime when I use larger split shots the fish do get spooked. It doesn't always happen, but does sometimes.
