Very cool. I did some tanago fishing today at my local pond in Cape Town (South Africa). Caught mosquito fish, dwarf tilapia and banded tilapia. So much fun.

Thanks. Too many people underestimate how much fun microfishing can be, especially when you set some goals for it. I'd love to make it over to Africa eventually. You have so many cool species there, and so many still undescribed.

@TheFishingNomad True story... I went tiger fishing a few years ago on the Zambezi river and ended up catching a bunch of micro species on fly... It was the highlight of my trip.

@@SeanMillsFishing That's actually really cool. I want to go see Victoria Falls and fish the river there. All I've been able to find caught in that area though are tigerfish and some sort of "bream" that I think is actually tilapia. It would be cool if I could catch some micros if I make it over there too.

@@TheFishingNomad I caught 15 species when I was there. There are 75 species of fish in the Zambezi system. Many different types of tilapia, catfish and minnow / barb, labeo and yelliwfish species.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYm2Z4N6dt-Srqcsi=SXkhteigVBOi2NkE Some tilapia species at the 38min mark. I almost caught african pike but just could not keep them on. One day when I am big I will go back.

Every time I fish the little creek at the greenway near my house, I remember why I love being out on the lake in the middle of nowhere. People can be incredibly noisy. Makes me feel bad for the animals in the area. Those Eastern Mosquito Fish sort of look like little mudskippers. Slap an eyepatch on those spotted sunfish and maybe they'll pass as pirate perch. Some beautiful catches as always, Nomad!

Part of what I like about fishing is being away from the business. I really don't like getting away from everyone and still running into everyone lol

You are up in my end up the state! Good luck on the rest of your trip!

@@Steve-ev6vx These videos are from a few months back, but thank you. I did pretty well. Ended up catching 20 new species. I've got a total of 11 videos coming out from this trip over the next several weeks.

I think if you use a Tanago rod, the sensation will be even more solid when playing micro fishing.

You are right. I've been experimenting with using them more and more.
