Ugh... Ok, I'll explain a few things here. Give ya' a few tips. 1: When you are trying to find the door to a ship, turn your dampeners off from your suit, so it is starting to feel like you're stopped. 2: I don't know if hordan noticed that in the video, haven't got that far, but in bigger ships you've found, they have gravity generators. Hauler didn't just have it on. 3: When you've found the cockpit, make sure to get some of the uranium, and split it to all nuclear reactors the ship has, so it doesn't overheat/explode/go to shit when you turn on the dampeners on the ship. It just didn't have enough power in the first place. 4: When you try to loot the ships, when you open a cargo container with I or K, it's the first container on the right on the list of stuff on the ship. So you can not pull out the stuff that's in other containers, unless they're connected by conveyors. 5: FUCKING USE THE FIRST PERSON GOD DAMNIT!!! PRESS V 6: When you're going to loot other ships, don't take your own. Your suit is little bit faster and there's a VERY HIGH chance that YOU end up FUCKING IT UP and DYING. So if you're only with your suit there, you won't lose your ship if the ship you're looting, explodes. And that's that. I haven't got more for you this time. But if I end up seeing something else, I WILL comment about it. PS: Love your videos man, been watching them since air canada down minecraft series of yours. Just FYI; those ghost ships have bobby traps. If you try to slow them down, a bomb in the engine area blows up. You have to remove the bomb there first. Check the engines before trying to drive these Ghost ships.

Just FYI, you should turn off your dampeners(with Z) when you're inside a ship without gravity :)

Ships are booby trapped with mines. when you turn the dampeners on you engage the thrusters that blow the mines up. you have to turn off thruster damage in the settings or find the thrusters and disable them before you turn on the dampeners.

James's escort ship blown up because of the booby trap. you have to destroy the trap first, the trap will activate when you try to stop (dampeners). Meanwhile, Aleks' ship really did get blown up from a random meteor. (see his video)

except its near a hidden interior thruster, to find it just go to the block with two interior lights on it near the middle of the ship on the inside, grind that down and you should find the warhead

U were right at the bomb. All the ships have a bomb in them with a small thruster pointed at it so when u move it turns on and blows up the bomb

nova, a quick tip, turn off your dampeners while in a ship that's moving, you'll have the same velocity as the ship so you won't have to keep on pushing buttons to stay still in the ship

Welcome to the concept of trapped ships :) Cargo ships usually have traps in them; it's why their dampeners are off; once you turn them on, hidden thrusters start up (usually when you go backwards) on warheads which blows up large parts of the ship (usually the containers). You have to either destroy the hidden thrusters or the warheads with a grinder... or just never turn the dampeners on and NEVER go backwards.

Also, when trying to get onto a moving ship, turn OFF inertial dampeners on jetpack (its the same way) and you wont keep flying to the back

Most ships are boobytrapped. Usually near the reactors, grind away around them and then grind away at the warheads.

Do you not realize that there is no friction in space so when you start going fast you keep that speed until you use thrusters to slow yourself down. If your going at a high speed and you use inertia dampeners, you will overload the reactors which causes that explosion.

You mean "Gravity". There is friction in space. In Earth, if an object is accelerated mid-air and parallel to the land, this is what happens: the object's acceleration is absorbed but not negated by an opposite force in gases like oxygen, then it is pulled by another force called gravity, lastly the opposite force of the land absorbs fully the acceleration caused by gravity and its first acceleration. In Space, it is the same. There is friction. It's just that gases in space are so thin that the opposing force in it is too weak. You won't notice that the object's acceleration goes down.

no, at least not in space engineers. they have thruster damage on so the thrusters damage blocks there is a hidden warhead with a hidden thruster pointed at it so that when you turn on inertial dampeners the thruster damages the warhead and causes it to explode also the inertial dampeners wouldn't overload the reactors anyways since they didn't even go over 100% power usage

Important tip about Random drifting ships: All Military labeled ships are guaranteed rigged to explode. Some Commercial, Business, Mining ships are potentially rigged. To play safe, use another ship to clamp onto the booby trap ship and fly it back safely then you guys can just start tearing it apart to find the explosives. DO NOT turn on dampeners because the thruster will ignite the explosives.

A lot of the ships aren't designed to work properly with thruster damage active. When you turn on inertial dampeners, the thrusters turn on and make some parts explode, which then damages other bits and such, so they tend to have chain reactions and blow up.

The military escort have one it's in between the small cargo container+reactor on both sides there is an interior wall remove it that is where the trap is on that ship...:) any it's a fun game to play

***** james you're apparently keep setting off traps aboard those ships, all these randomly spawned ships contains thruster trap that eithers kill the power or set off explosives linked to the trap trigger (which usually, when you use the dampener) so please next time kill the engine first and loot it before RTB to your home :)

FYI when you take over most ships. ie. mining haulers, military escorts, etc. they usually have traps in them that will blow up certain parts of the ship when you start to move the ship itself. To stop the explosions you can do the following, find the mines hidden in the ship and use the grinder on them (will usually have a thruster there so it would take damage and would blow up), look up a walkthrough of the ship itself and the walkthrough will tell you what thrusters to disable. or you can just turn off thruster damage in the game settings. Thumbs up so they can see please. :)

You have to take it out of the container, you were going into the nuclear reactor, they are labeled and those military ships are mined and go off when the inertia dampeners are turned on

The holes in your ships are maybe caused by the meteorites. And go to first person to better navigate those in those small corridors. I think the key is V, perhaps.

Nova... the reason you can't get the stuff is because you're going to the inventory of the nuclear reactor. While you're in that inventory, you can SEE items in other containers on the ship, but cannot TAKE them unless you go to the actual container, or have a conveyor system in place. The guns are not in the reactor.
