Paid £159 for a Fire Max 11 tablet, am playing all the AAA titles at full pelt on Luna, not only that but I can play any of the games in my Ubisoft & GOG accounts. I can play all day & the tablet doesn't get hot & the battery lasts the whole day of AAA gaming. If I was to pay £8.99 for month for Luna+ over 2 years my total all in would still only be £375. But as a desktop machine I would be interested in the V3, I would still game through Luna on it.

It looks like a nice machine in terms of the AMD architecture, but the battery does seem tiny for its relative thickness with a limited IPS screen. I'd also be concerned about the warranty support.

@@fmulleady it’s and OLED screen. But out of all the laptops I’ve ever tested this has the best battery life, even while gaming.

Would you say this or the new vivobook s16 (oled 2024) or would you say a generic MSI gaming laptop with a 4060 would be the most power? I am asking because theyre all similar prices (1050 max) but the new AI laptops from VIVO are a huge hit right now

@@AbdullahAburob24 that’s a tough one. You are comparing gaming laptops to a gaming tablet. The vivobook is closer. I really like this v3 tablet. I like it even more when I use it with my ps5 controller and a 65w power pack on my lapdesk in bed. 65w power bank gives me double the battery life while running at max tdp. I love using this tablet as a handheld with the controller mods I have (check the video on my channel). I think it comes down to how much power you want. MSI as a dgpu so you’re going to get the most frames. Probably same battery life all around.

@@xavi619 I haven’t tested that game unfortunately. But from my understanding it handles low preset smoothly. What I do know is that battery life on the v3 isn’t great. But if you have a 65watt power bank you can unlocked some great performance by leaving it in 28w tdp mode.

Did you try the Asus Rog Flow Z13? Almost got the Minisforum V3 until I saw the Z13 2023 with a RTX 4060. So far, it's been great and with a dedicated GPU it's the king of portables at the moment.

@@quicksilverpr2001 I did not. I heard mixed things about the z13. It looks like a great device. However, I’m not really an intel person. That particular cpu wasn’t known for its energy efficiency. Always wanted to see if they came out with a z13 flow AMD version. Glad you like it though!

@@azenyr yes and no, the 40 series GPU are a little bit expensive but, you still can find brand new 30 series GPU for about the same price as the Minis V3

@@Dragorus360 they are very different. The x1 has more power. But the minisforum has vrr and can be smoother and it has a native landscape display. I like playing on the V3 more. Especially with a 65 watt power bank.

@@GamerVsTech Nice. Can you do a frame rate comparison in some games for us? My use scenario will be in bed or couch always with a power supply and sometimes on vacation. I'm really concerned of the loseness of the controllers on the X1. Are there any mods or fixes or inserts that can resolve the spacing?

@@Dragorus360 will do. If seen some people do some mods to increase the contact of the controllers to the device. However, eventually it scratches the device. I currently have been using my V3 as a handheld with the gamesir g8 +. Not the Galileo version. On my channel I have a video showcasing some of the controllers and mods you can purchase. The mod that I use in that video for the Galileo will also work for the g8+. It is truly amazing. A little heavy but I like it more than the x1

What do you prefer between the V3 and the OXP X1? I just got an X1 yesterday and really like it, but I would love to have both, of course. :D

@@doolittle_ both of them are great. They have their positives and negatives. The x1 can be hard to hold up if laying down for long periods of time. Has a high tdp unplugged. But the v3 is a great lap desk companion. The freesync display and native landscape on the v3 make a pretty big difference. I use them both equally as much.
