Louis Farrakhan Sr. (/ˈfɑːrəkɑːn/; born Louis Eugene Walcott; May 11, 1933), formerly known as Louis X, is an American minister and political activist. He is the leader of the Nation of Islam (NOI), an organization which the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) describes as black nationalist,[2] black supremacist and a hate group.[3] Previously, he served as the minister of mosques in Boston and Harlem and had been appointed National Representative of the Nation of Islam by former NOI leader Elijah Muhammad.
After Warith Deen Muhammad reorganized the original NOI into the orthodox Sunni Islamic group American Society of Muslims, Farrakhan began to rebuild the NOI as "Final Call". In 1981, he officially adopted the name "Nation of Islam", reviving the group and establishing its headquarters at Mosque Maryam.
Farrakhan has been described as antisemitic by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the SPLC and other monitoring organizations. The NOI promotes an anti-white theology, also according to the SPLC.[4] Some of his remarks have also been considered homophobic.[5] Farrakhan has disputed these characterizations.[4][6]
In October 1995, he organized and led the Million Man March in Washington, D.C. Due to health issues, he reduced his responsibilities with the NOI in 2007.[7] However, Farrakhan has continued to deliver sermons[8] and speak at NOI events.[9] In 2015, he led the 20th Anniversary of the Million Man March: Justice or Else - Wikipedia

@@musket-hc1fc whites suffering? Can you elaborate on that suffering of which you speak of? Whites should have never landed on the Native American people lands to begin with, which was stolen. Does a thief suffer? I've never seen it? Has a white man ever been lynched because of him being white? Has a white man seen as a threat because of the clothing that he chose to wear? How has the white man suffered? Judged by the name given to you, I've worked around whites who laughed about the names given to black children and then state, " good luck getting that interview." Min. Louis Farrakhan… has always been a fascinating human being! He is absolutely great to listen to and see him and hear him for yourself. Man, is he a spectacle and a striking display of a learned man to watch and see brilliance in the midst. He handles the Donahue audience with fun kids gloves. He’s nice, he’s respectful, he’s calm and he’s enjoyable to watch. I know this is an old video and now he’s about 90 years old and still looks and sounds great as he does in this old video. God has truly been with this man over his life. Stay strong, Farrakhan! We love you! 💕

Why do MOST whites have to apologise to you? Hereditary or collective responsibility is a made up term based in fallacy. It's like me asking you to apologize for Idi Amin. One who isn't alive cannot be punished. That would be a double standard. It's renaming problems, shifting blame ,and redefining words. Personal responsibility vs collective responsibility. Individualism is pure, collectivism is death. Religion falls under collectivism by definition.

Perhaps but remember too Donohue was THE MAN THE TOP TOP DUDE on DAYTIME TV in USA then. He was bold and brave to put the good Minister on national network TV at the time, early '80s, Republicans in power and Pres. RR VERY POPULAR president. USA was then, as now, very racist and antiBlack. NOI was so misunderstood, Min. Farrakhan too, ergo much feared by the ignorant, which sadly is most Americans & don't forget The Tribe is largely in charge of all television. Unfairly NOI are often called antisemites. Donohue is playing his role, to his higher ups and to his audience in studio and in their homes in the multimillions, while allowing the good Min. to get HIS OWN WORDS OUT. Delicate balance. IJS in case you weren't aware of it or hadn't considered how bold it was for the Irish American so called white man. His first question about whites joining NOI, is because popular belief was, they want us whiteys all dead right now, we must murder first, so Donohue totally deflated that one misconception by asking so Min. Farrakhan could answer what he did. Looks easy sure, but both men are total professionals. Also, if you ever attend live taping, sometimes you must break for commercial, he mighta had to wrap for that, the stage manager direct the applause etc. I apologize if you already knew all this, but I thought it may be useful info to get full picture and in closing, as you said, the most important thing is that beautifully articulated truth got out there on air, to the masses, that's what matters.

This is an interview I believe all people can learn public speaking from! The body language, vocal tone and mannerisms all exude confidence, self-awareness and a person who you won’t be able to break down easily. Notice how at 10:38-11:15 Donahue put his whole body forward, hands either side of the table as if to surround and corner Minister Farrakhan? It was most likely subconscious but nonetheless aggressive. Notice how Min Farrakhan never displayed such energy; in fact as they sat opposite each other he kept his hands in his lap (humility) yet kept his back upright (confidence) and took time with his words (thought about his answers instead of acting on emotions). He became more passionate during the audiences question time, but never irate. In fact I love how he smiled around the beginning at 3:47. Anyone interviewing him at that point would know that this is no stupid man who is emotional and ahistorical. This an intelligent man that knows what the hell he is talking about. In fact, the self-assuredness exuding from that smile would have made me nervous to interview him 😅. A great person to study if you want to be a public speaker.

I was watching the body language of Mr. Donahue while he was talking to Mr. Louis Farrakhan and it was very interesting. It seemed like whenever something would irritate him he’d move around a lot, make snarky comments, get loud, and interrupt him. On the other hand Mr. Farrakhan stayed poised, confident, and collected whenever he had to answer things that were negative. Just goes to show you that an individual’s real character will appear when you stay calm.

Love your name and profile pic. You're right, but what a difficult time. I think about how hard it is today, to get anyone to even listen. Elijah Muhammad turned me off with his short-sighted and personally manipulative speeches. Farrakhan felt like sun finally shining in through that one open window at the end of the hallway. I do not always agree with his conclusions, but he always makes the important points along the way. Was it really wrong to believe that integration outside of the middle class was possible?

12:32 Check what Donahue says. He's a wise devil. More truth than most will know. "You're timing is perfect", he said. That's because he understands the time and what must be done, just like the enemy said to the HEM in the '30s, "If you had come even twenty years earlier, we would have killed you outright, but it's time now..." Donahue is telling the minister that he recognizes the correctness of his presence at the proper time. If you watch Donahue in all of his interviews with the minister from that point, he "acts" adversarial, but his line of questioning is almost leading...allowing the minister to make the needed points. Even the devil has to bear witness to the truth in the last days. Allahuakbar!

It's 5/6/2022 an I'm watching Donahue & I was 6 when this aired an I saw it back then sad part is this video makes more sense an even more powerful today. I knew minister was on point with no lies an I knew then people couldn't handle his strength, education or his manly hood. This man is a living legend who have no time to play with hate or those that hate him an I totally get it 👌🏽
