Rieflin is an unsung drum God but Washam is really underrated and had a great run with the band. Just wish Al hadn't screwed him over on Houses of the Mole credits. Helios Creed hiring Washam and Jeff Pinkus from the Butthole Surfers/Melvins as his backing band in the 90s is just a dream lineup.

I was in JB's documentary, "Killing the Joke," JB's one of the pioneers of industrial music and his sister wrote the broadway play "FUN home," which discusses what its like growing up in a funeral home. She was also animated as a simpsons character. As an aside, JB and Burton Bell (from fear factory, also one of my fav people) have an awesome project called "ascension of the watchers."

When you look at Al Jourgensen today and listen to current Ministry records, IMHO their new music simply lacks the depth that this album has. Never before and after they managed to this dive deep into atmosphere. On the other hand one could call this album hazy and unfocused. But I enjoy it and this song in particular.

I'd have agreed with this up to a point, but AmeriKKKant was a really shocking return to the foggy, gothic-doom atmosphere and thick production style of this and Dark Side of the Spoon. Possibly the best record they've put out since Barker left (though I have a real soft spot for Rio Grande Blood)
