I do love to see the BCR on the channel. Josh: One way you could get a Sub-Commander in there is to add a Icebrow Hunter or one of the casters (I prefer the Firebelly for the BCR aesthetic). I really wish we had a mounted caster for the army though!

I think Age Of Sigmar models look alot better then the old ones. I do love the old ones to though I really do. Im a 40k fan myself ( nurgle bless ) I just seems to me there are a lot of people who dont like how Age of Sigmar is "played" compared to 40k regardless that its fantasy. I never played Age of Sigmar but I sure would love to try it. Warhammer games are always fun. Even if you lose the game I find its a blast.

I agree, I may not have played any but AoS looks very fun and imo stands out compared to Fantasy and 40k (I'm a 40k fan myself and more of a Grey Knight or Custodes person) but yeah there's alot in terms of theme and aesthetic that stands out for me on AoS. To this day I'm super conflicted with picking a faction as they are all so cool.

Just a question for anyone, as I am uncertain. Dont you have to choose the Battle tactic at the start of the Hero Phase. Ref Lukas Ferocious Advance, you need to choose the 3 units, and casting Metamorphosis would mean there are 3 monsters chosen. Any advice is appreciated.

that bug combat had all 3 ogre heros, and one of them don't know which had Ancient trait. this would have made a big difference Alvagr Ancient - If this model has not made a charge move in the same turn, enemy units that are within 3" of this model at the start of the combat phase fight at the end of that combat phase.

Its a battalion from generals handbook that makes the units in it immune to the new monster abilities.

Hunters of the Heartlands is a Core Battalion in the General's Handbook that you can put 2-3 troop choices in that makes them immune to Rampages.

When you roar a target they can't give OR receive a command ability during the combat phase. Thus another hero couldnt have all out defense on the frontlord. Zombie Dragon Maw is rend -2 not 1.

When the dragon attacked the huskard on thundertusk, the mount trait of the thundertusk worsened the rend of the attack one level down to -1.

As far as I know they changed the ruling for bodyguard like abilitys. If a unit passed a wound to a different one (like the necromancer to the skeletons) those no longer can make a ward save. I might be wrong on this one becouse I can't find in which of the recent FAQ it was changed but I am quiet certain it was changed.

Nope. The ability of the necromancer does not negate a wound, but just realocates it and therefore it's not a ward roll. Therefore the Wolves indeed can make a ward roll after the wounds are transferred to them. There are bodyguard mechanics in the game that specifically negate a wound and afterwards reallocate them - these are wards now.

Something that you should consider is counting wounds the other way. In AoS you allocate wounds until a model has had enough wounds allocated to slay it. The reason I bring this up is that the vampires who gain +1 wound for the rallying cry should have "lost" a wound after it went away. You had them marked with 3 wounds remaining during the rallying cry but didn't turn them to 2 wounds remaining when the cry ended.

At 59 minutes: can't the general only get +1 save as a maximum bonus? (rule 13.3.3 in Core book "A save roll cannot be modified by more than +1!") New player here

After all positive and negative modifiers, any save modifier higher than +1 is reduced to +1. That's how "save stacking" is used to negate rend.

Seems like everyone is getting tired of watching Soulblight but I gotta say I still love seeing them! And Ogres, it’s been a while and I realised I’ve missed them. Totally love these battle reports, I always watch and enjoy them but it feels bad the amount of stats and rules that are done incorrectly across all the reports. I know these games are more chill and for fun but over the course of a game it feels like the outcome could have been different.

@@Ankhtowe Funny enough, its actually cheaper to field a monster army. At least, it certainly is for Beastclaw Raiders. 3 Start Collecting kits and you're essentially done.

@@sirbobulous I have to disagree with the previous statement. I play a number of non-Monster armies or those with few and can still compete with Monster lists. It all depends on how you play and build your lists I think. Monsters are pretty strong right now for sure though! And the apps, while helpful, are not required and I think they mostly got them out there because people wanted them. The lack of digital books, even if I never used them, is a bummer though. Overall, I have been having a lot of fun with 3.0! :)
