Gwan Hee is either trying too hard to be a star for this season like Dex was previous season or he is actually insufferable as a person. Hyesong and Jinseok's characters have great depth and their vibes just neatly align in the same wavelength. Hyesong is bubbly and outgoing, and Jinseok is more quieter and sturdy but still finds a way to channel his emotions. They're the two most emotionally mature people in this season, and honestly, it's such a waste of potential in this show for the both of them. Gwanhee is wasting everybody's time. The season's nearing the end and he's still so confused on which one of the ladies to choose, and the rejected ones won't have any time left to explore if he keeps dragging on. Hajeong and Hyesong need men who can complement and embrace their personalities well which is definitely NOT Gwanhee.

Not diagnosing, however Gwanhee's extreme insecurities and simultaneously overinflated ego are narcissistic traits. In his demands for reassurance, he tends to degrade the girls. The worst part is, that you can tell that his actions don't have a malicious intent, which makes him even more dangerous. I wouldn't go as far to say he has narcissistic traits. I heard his girlfriend of 6 years suddenly broke up with him. With how he cried on the last episode, I think he himself has build up walls with a lot of trust issues because of his past relationship. This does not give excuses for his behavior but I can see how he is deeply traumatized with how he never meant to actually hurt them. I feel like he kept his options open because he wanted to be sure they are the right one and with the constant need of validation and assurance, he thought that was the right way to find the one for him but realizing on the last episode, that it was not validation and assurance what he seeks in a relationship but someone who can understand him. I think the reason he also choosed Hyeseon was because he felt at ease. Minji was his pick because thats what he wanted in a girlfriend but Hyeseon was what he needed for a proper relationship

Jinseok is amazing and imo the best guy this season, but he dropped the ball with Minji. I think he's always really liked Min-young and was hurt by the candy situation but could never fully cut her off and as a result this put Minji off and she started exploring things with Gwan-hee. She asked Jinseok about the Min-young situation and he wasn't 100% direct with his response and continued to flirt with MY in front of the group, so he killed his chance with Minji. But who knows if they would've been a good fit long term? Either way, I think Jinseok deserves so much better.

Idk you may be right but it kinda makes sense to me in a weird way. Cause the girls who fell for him are all pretty similar to Gwan-hee, they all have big egos and Hye-son is like the calm side of Gwan-Hee, Ha-Jeong is like the jokester/loud side of him and Min-Ji is basically him as a girl lol. Also he’s the tallest and height is very important in Korea. I’ve seen so many friends and family members fall for toxic men who showed their red flags from the start (and didn’t have any redeeming qualities like good looks either) so I’m not even surprised anymore.. When Gwanhee's duplicitousness was discovered by the group of girls, they collectively were disgusted by him. I thought Gwanhee was basically disqualified from any relationships at that point. Then the girls all turned sweet on him, and I thought "What if they are all just pretending to like him, stringing him along in a coordinated strategy?" I'm going to be so happy if no girls pick him in the final selection. It's not very often that other men nauseate me to the point that I get heartburn. If he liked her as much as he or the fans claim, he wouldn't be constantly wondering about other girls. For Hajeong's case I'd argue that removing her from his options was quicker and easier because she told him off for his fragile ego, stood up for herself, and didn't constantly give him the validation he needs from the girls which are all things he doesn't like in women. Yeah. It's a difference in perspective. She didn't know that Dex pretty much turned Minsu down _before_ they even left for paradise and then reiterated himself *again* while he was there. But on top of that, the girls like Sejeong and Soeun were constantly needling Seulki and feeding her insecurity. Like Sejeong saying Dex said "Little things piling up might have a bigger impact" to tame down her excitement of him saying she had a big impact. This whole season 3 is such a red flag (GwanHee being the biggest one) the way it tries to be more western and move fast without any real relationships. There is not a single couple that is going to make it past the show no matter who they pick. I loved season 2. I've seen it several times. The island was better, the camaraderie and friendship between the cast was so nice and people had respect for each other. I'm only watching this time for Kim JinYoung and the other hosts.

Bingo! This is why I'm having such a hard time enjoying this season. It's way too "western". As someone living in the States its refreshing watching some of these Korean and Japanese dating shows because it reminds you of what courting and romance should look like -- the innocence of it all. So shows like Love Transit and Change Days are some of my favorites. I adored the first two seasons of Singles Inferno for this same reason but unfortunately this season has felt like any other western dating show out there like Love Island or The Bachelor (minus the s3xu*l stuff) but either way, it's just felt more like gameplay than anything else. Hoping next season production can cast Singles who are really wanting to meet someone. Maybe they need to avoid selecting people who are already well known/famous? Not sure what can be done. But I do think changing up the island dynamics was a mistake. I feel like everyone there is so desperate to leave the island that they'll go to paradise with anyone. Plus, correct me if I'm wrong, there hasn't been an episode in this whole season when the entire cast stay on the island to cook/hang out together. I loved those scenes in the first two seasons.

I noticed it during conversations, like when Sieun was talking to Minwoo or even Gyuri. They frequently fix their hair as a kind of mannerism, not necessarily styling it. These gestures, along with the cautious way they present themselves in front of the camera, can be distracting in my opinion. Since it's a reality show, it feels unnatural, and some of the gal contestants appear to not fully express their true personalities. Some seem robotic and overly concerned about their appearance and how they come across on camera. Even most of the conversations are all about "Do I look pretty?"

@@Frobleeh You have a good point. I agree now that it isn't just because of the wind. Did you see when Min-Woo helped Gyuree adjust a hair that was in front of her face when they were in Paradise? That was indoors. I don't know if you saw it but I saw a video clip of the contestants lined up and each made a comment. When they made their comment they went to the back of the line. Sieun made a comment that agrees with yours. She felt she fussed with her hair too much. She said she did it unconsciously. I noticed she always looked a bit sad. Do you think so? I don't know why she would be since I don't know anything about her past except that she was runner-up in the Miss Korea Pageant in 2022. Maybe it is because she was upset at times being constantly stymied in her attempt to go to Paradise with Minwoo.

@@vernonfrance2974 Thanks for the info. I'm aware that most of the contestants here are beauty pageant participants. However, my comment is that the contestants are too overly projected, unlike Hejeong and Hyeseon who speak their minds. The other girls are all about looking good or so cautious about the camera that's why you can see that almost most of them pose even though they are just talking. There's nothing wrong with that, but as a viewer, in my opinion, it somehow feels so rehearsed and unnatural. I watched the whole season from season 1 so I see the difference. But I think I find this season entertaining because of the dramas and funny moments.

apprently there’s another drama where they showed it in the unreleased clip on netflix kr between sieun and gyuri , sieun came to the room to talk to minwoo and asked “can i talk to you minwoo?” and gyuri basically told her off and said “no you can’t” i was like bichhhhhh 🙄

I think the reason why Gwanhee wanted her to go with Jinseok so that Minji and Jinseok can finish what they started and maybe she'll grow to like him more, and he can be with Hyeseon without guilt and it'll be a fair game.. but girl is so densed picking Minkyu coz she really wants Gwanhee. Gwanhee is already telling Minji, pick Jinseok so they would be able to see if feeling would grow and both of them may have a change of mind. 😂 Anyway because she picked Minkyu, he's just gonna enjoy his time with Hyeseon anyway and girl will feel so bad that maybe Gwanhee is angry that she chose someone else.. like in her head maybe Gwanhee thinks she might like Minkyu but actually he doesnt care at all. He just wants probably Minji to spend her last time in inferno with someone she's also interested in. 😊 That is already her queue!!! ugh... In fairness to Gwanhee, he takes the opportunity to really get to know people in a deeper level, I don't hate him. :)

The issue with Gwan-hee is he has a lot of internal issues. To me his actions all trace back to insecurity. Even though it’s obvious he likes Hyeseon best I think he will choose Minji though i want to be wrong because the Gwan-hee we’ve seen (hopefully he shows us a new Gwanhee the last ep) always goes with the safe choice and the one that doesn’t hold him accountable. He’s constantly checking for love and he does not act based on his feelings but rather who he thinks likes him more. Like one of the panelists mentioned he’s a coward in that he’s not brave enough to act on his feelings and choose someone so he’d rather have a bunch of options and just settle for the safe choice. Hyeseon and Hajeong deserve better. Unless he redeems himself which I hope he does because he’s just self sabotaging him and Hyeseon. They have a great vibe when he’s not acting up. :(
