i live in aberdeen scotland,,i heard willy and the boys (ruben siquenza,louie x erlanger,bobby leonards,tr allen jnr) when they were backing dr feelgood at a concert in aberdeen from that moment on i was hooked,from willys soulful and superb singing to the rock and roll tracks i was there,in 1976 everyone in new york was listening to jonathan richmans "Modern Lovers new york dolls or patti smith,,along came willy de ville with toots by his side and blew them away,,rip will you are sadly missed..

Saw them once on that tour in 77 as the opening act for Dave Edmunds and Rockpile and headliner Elvis Costello who was such a WIMP next to Willy .Mink Deville tore the place up as usual.

Ahhhhh Mink ... Standing at Mic Sarading drrssed in Red, as Damper as he could be there stood Willie ... i was just below him & stealing a photo. ... later Back Stage Big Ron C. got me Willies autogrph & Bob Dylans who had come ( with stinkin Hair -no shower ) just to See Willie ... I was the Bean-Fishery of that Nite. Big Ron was Great to Clib with in LA ... We went evrywhere... saw everyone happening than. I Universail & Dancing at club with Big Ron to " Oh Shelia " ... It was summer ... the patio overlooked the twinkling lites of Valley.

my puppy got hold of le chat bleu & tore the shit out of it, Sucks really sucks. shopped on ebay. Import LP from netherlands is aroun $30 + shipping. expanded CD is like $22.99 & has muzurka & lipstick traces. gotta have the vinyl but CD has it all but really miss my US 1980 LP. Miss Willly the most. RIP
