I have found Willie DeVille (A.K.A. "Mink") too late in my life. I love his music, from his voice, his emotion and what not many people post about is the brilliance of the musicians in his bands. From the drums, to the guitars, to the bass and to the keyboards, all excellent musicians in my opinion. Long live Willie's music, truly top drawer!!!!

Lucky to see him in a little club on Boubon St before he passed. Just him, a guitar, and a piano. I had been a fan for many years and dragged a couple of friends with me who had no idea who he was. We were all blown away. The songs, the voice, and the intimacy of the setting made it one of the greatest performances I have ever seen.
