Minkey Ring (Raspberry Peach Sour Ale) | Thin Man x Community Beer Works | Beer Review |

Once again, it's Wednesday, so it's time for another installment of "Western New York Wednesday" here on the channel. This week, I'm reviewing another collaboration beer, this time between the Thin Man Brewery and Community Beer Works (‪@communitybeerworks‬), and it's their Minkey Ring. This is a Sour Ale that is brewed with raspberries and peaches. It's actually a mash-up of Thin Man's Minkey Boodle and Community Beer Work's Peach Ring Sour Ale. I reviewed Minkey Boodle years ago, but never had Peach Ring Sour Ale. Also, Community Beer Works now owns Thin Man, which is both disappointing and exciting. I hope they keep the brand going, as I always thought Thin Man was one of the better Buffalo, NY-based breweries. Let's see how this one is!

$4,25 and $15.99 seems on the cheaper end for a fruited sour ale. I'm not expert in the style but usually they cost more than that.

Typically, It all depends on how much fruit they're using. Those heavily fruited/smoothie/slushy beers use a boatload of fruit puree, which is pricey, so that is why you see them in the $20-25/4 pack range. Something like this probably uses a decent amount, but not as much as those, which is why it's a bit cheaper. Plus, Thin Man and CBW usually have great price points, as a whole. Cheers, Chaz!
