Can I remove the drive motor without deploying the trolling motor? One of my pivots are broken and I have tried to move it yet. Can this be safely done?

Do we need to disconnect the gas strut to complete the changing of the bushings? my one bushing is broke and a friend sent me this video which is a great help!

Yes it is the reason, I have a fortrex trolling motor, which has the same mechanism, one of the these pieces was broken on mine and it would not lock down. I have put this kit in on my trolling motor and now it works like new!

How did you get the torx screws loose

A ratchet with a T30 torx bit socket. They are removed at 2:08 in the video.

Those pivots caused so much down preasure on my new ultrex when stowed away it pulled the head off! Caused the head to separate from the fiberglass shaft
