I'm anxious in relocating to the Minneapolis area from Seattle. It checks all the boxes for me. Vibrant economy, 4 major professional sports teams, and a large variety of restaurants and breweries makes it all worthwhile to me. Real estate is also a lot more affordable than Seattle.

Damn! Finally a good video about my home city! It’s like you literally followed my wife and I around to find out our favorite spots🤣 we moved here after college and thought that it would be temporary before moving to the West Coast - that was 30 years ago. Minneapolis is an amazing place to live! Great Music scene, amazing breweries (lots of them), great art scene, one of the top places for award winning restaurants in the country (more James Beard awards than most larger cities) and easy access to the outdoors- hell, I live a mile out of downtown and have 5 lakes within a few blocks of my house!

If you ever make a video about Omaha, I'd recommend bringing up Zio's Pizzeria and Romeo's Mexican Food in the restaurants section. I've been addicted to the cheese dip at Romeo's since I was a kid. I live an hour away from "the cities" as many of us call it here. There's a lot of reasons people don't go there. The "Murderapolis" nickname has always been one. Needless to say I haven't been around the area myself too much. But if anyone is like myself who is coming from out of town to see a show or event in the area for the night and wants a place to go within walking distance of a venue.... What do you recommend? My friends and I stumbled into Rock Bottom Brewery looking for a bathroom near First Avenue, and it was the best decision we made that day. We now visit it every time we have an event to go to.
@astron10002 жыл бұрын
Unless you are engaging in illicit activities, there's hardly any reason to worry about violent crime in Minneapolis since, like other major US cities, violent crime occurs primarily in a sub-culture of drugs and gangs. Seriously, there are literally muli-million-dollar condos right in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. Are these wealthy residents cowering in fear? No, they're regularly going to Brit's Pub, Smack Shack, Orchestra Hall, The Guthrie, Spoon & Stable, The Dakota or several dozen other venues. Violence is always bad. And all of America is in the grip of it right now, not just Minneapolis. But the best thing you can do is just genuinely live your life and grab the joy you deserve.

You forgot a few: - Peer in the windows of Betty Danger's because they went out of business - Rattle the doors of Brit's Pub because they went out of business (I'm sensing a trend) - Admire the boarded up buildings on Lake Street that still haven't been repaired since the George Floyd riots - Enjoy the broken glass, trash, boarded up buildings and graffiti at the George Floyd memorial - Get robbed on the light rail trains - Run away from the Somali gangs in the Cedar-Riverside area - Dodge bullets in North Minneapolis - Work hard to avoid the homeless camps that are everywhere - Check out the diversity of the poor people who serve the rich people because, in true Socialist fashion, there is almost no middle class in the city - Take out a loan to afford the places that Melissa recommends - Try to drive on streets that were already narrow, but they had to jam a bike path in It's a wonderful city that I work in every day.
