Your videos are great. I love watching them. But this is the best one of all....brings back so many memories...crisp day plowing in the field before cabs were common on tractors, and the wonderful sound from the large displacement of the motor. Kudos to the lucky owner of this tractor, I love how he compensates for the missing air cleaner cover.

Brings back so many memories .... Sitting BETWEEN the wheels leaning on the mudguard / fender (not)listening to the engine roar - to get an extra dimension of perception of load to adjust the draft control - Huh - and we need 4WD now? LOOK - 2Wd without duals AND a Trailed Plow - no hydraulic draft control here - just weight transfer thru' speed. we can learn a lot from some of these good videos. Many thanks

The Olivers and Molines had similar horse power ratings. MM had a front forward design where Oliver was more compact. White Motors discontinued the Oliver 2150 in 1969 and replaced it with the Oliver 2155 which was a G-1350 painted green.

@sammagedanz24578 жыл бұрын
vafaningetnamnledigt here in the USA plowing gets done very rarely and the ground is harder and cloddyer
@vafaningetnamnledigt18 жыл бұрын
Sam Magedanz cant be true, most US made umplements doesnt work here because off hard clay in The soul, many have tried cultuvators but doesn't work. But you can get an old Oliver plough work fine but never nearby as good as a Kverneland for example.
@jtoddjb5 жыл бұрын
Funny you mention that. I've always wondered why Europeans are so into making perfect furrows right down to the millimeter. I understand taking pride in your work, but I cant imagine plowing several hundred acres of ground and stopping 50 times worrying about everything being absolutely perfect. Fall tillage would be done by mid summer. Do those perfectly even and exact depth furrows really help produce that much more during the growing season? We're going to disc it anyway and break up any residue left. Most of us here don't plough very often or even at all. I guess some of my opinion comes from watching those crazy ploughing competitions, but I understand that's not farming it's a competition. I do enjoy seeing and hearing about the differences in the way people farm in other parts of the world. I'm sure we all have lots to learn from each other.

The Moline engine was big. They used it in the big 2wd s and 4wds. It’s interesting how companies geared tractors in the top range in 1972 from 139 Hp in the G-155 to 175 Hp like the 6030.
