The medusa works great because it looks like a squid! Why would a fresh water fish like a musky want a lure that looks like a salt water life form? So I thought that maybe a realistic looking squid lure might work good. I bought some 3D life like squid lures from Savage Gear (10 inch squid lures) and tried them on lake St. Clair. I caught 14 muskies averaging 20 to 30 inches on the realistic squid swim baits in one day! These baits look so real and alive that the fish just inhale them! No follows, just hard hits and they don`t let go! If Chaos was to offer a larger squid lure 15 or more inches long, the 40 and 50 inch muskies would go bonkers for it! Remember, the soft plastic realistic movement of the Savage Gear design drove the fish crazy! We need larger versions of this design. The Medusa has proven that muskies and pike love a squid looking lure. So a truly life like squid lure ( as I have been witness to ) will catch even more fish than the fantastic medusa! The market is wide open. Make and test these lures for yourselves and you will be so surprised by the success you have fishing them! Salt water lures will catch fresh water fish! BIG TIME! Was there a time when musky and pike were salt water predators? If the world was flooded long ago then it would make sense that fresh water fish were once salt water fish. That would explain why fresh water apex predators would go after a salt water looking bait. Time to expand your thinking. It is possible that the fresh water fish were once salt water fish. The slow change of salt to fresh water would allow an evolution to this change. The salt slowly settled to the bottom and the fish evolved to this change but the memory of prey did not. It is passed on to the future generations of fish. To truly know history is to know that life evolves to change. The memories of prey remain as a survival memory. It is rooted in and carries on in the species. This is why squid looking lures (like the medusa) catch fresh water fish! Could the Barracuda have evolved into the pike and musky that we fish today? Yes. Is it weird that squid is the barracuda`s favorite food? Is that why pike and musky love the Medusa so much? Nature is weird that way. Salt to fresh water. Yes, it is possible and probable! So think way outside the box when fishing fresh water or creating lures! Squid are in the memories of apex fresh water predators!

So for being ‘big, dumb, MN muskies’ you guys didn’t fair very well 🤣 I think you’re a little out of touch their, boys. This isn’t Mille Lacs in the early 00s. To further that point- the George Wahl mem tourney only yielded 6 fish… so maybe just stay in Sconnie and keep catching actual dumb fish 😄
