My take on difficult decisions with bad news with cars is simply to ask the client just how informed they want to be at the end of the job. For some, ignorance is bliss and for others part of why I'm employed to do the work is to get the true condition of their car clarified. Truth hurts sometimes but better to be informed I think Great to have the content back Jim. This was like therapy for me after an extremely challenging period business wise. Thank you

@@h1989w7373 Jim's level of workmanship exceeds Larry IMHO, I would say Jim is more on par with Larry's mentor Kevin Brown. Larry was a millionaire who decided to start selling detailing products and it shows with his content he plasters Ammo NYC all over it. Jim uses a plethora of products and uses whats best for that particular job without a motive of trying to push product. Don't get me wrong Larry is a great detailer but i'd put him more in the realm of Auto Finesse than White Details in terms of being a master of the craft and more so of how to make a living in this field. I would add Obsessed Garage & Auto Finesse to that list. For the weekend warriors Pan the Organizer makes good content too.

Hi Jim. Have you got yourself someone to join you and teach them how it’s done at WHITE DETAILER and not have to take on all this pressure of running a lovely business . You would be amazed at how many of us love your work ethics and your almost OCD attention to detail what is a good thing as my son is the same. He will stick to the job until it’s done correctly. Nic3 to see you back home and hope to see more of your videos and have a stress free week.

I think it might be a person's pride and joy however I think its that openness and honesty that puts you in their good books and shows you know what you are talking about. Yes its difficult to mention 1,2,3...things 'wrong' but equally you want to show everything you've found. If they didnt care they wouldnt be getting your services in the first place. Its just such a shame dealers think they can get aware with it. Keep up the awesome work mate!

Another great video Jim. You made the Audi's paintwork pop. Regarding the repairs on the car. I think you were absolutely right to let the owners know about it, regardless of their relationship with the car. If it was my car, I would want to know I've been duped by some unscrupulous car salesperson. There has been a deception on the dealers part by not disclosing their repairs, and they should be brought to book on this. Well done for spotting the repairs and for informing the owners in a professional and sympathetic manner.

great to see the vids return jim! the one thing we can't afford is to tarnish the relationships we have with the customer / prospective customer... we always ask during the intake / initial assessment, 'do you want to know what we discover / uncover (the bad bits)... or would you prefer we keep it to ourselves?' i've yet to have either say 'keep it to yourself'... in the end, we (detailers) will be the ones most trusted over 'resellers' who chose to omit a truth... ATB!

Had a guy in a BMW M6 in polar white I think it was last week at a stop light, honk at me, to roll my window down, so he could tell me how much he liked the car/color and asked me how i liked it. Hey Jim. I have really missed these long vids!! Love them! I do the same thing with customers. I point out all the flaws, defects, reprints and such. I find my customers are appreciative but also a little disappointed. But they do like the honesty and the fact that we can find all those things that others don’t see, overlook, or fail to show. I’m sure it makes dealers and manufacturers upset, but SERIOULSY?! It should motivate them to improve if anything! Thanks again Jim!!

Awesome to see you back! Ever think of using bucket dollies with 4' casters? They would make the washing process so much easier. Everything I have has 4' casters as I do all my washes in my driveway. It's not the smoothest of driveways either, but the 4' casters prevents the dollies, detailing cart, and stool from getting stuck on any cracked and crevices. It was a game changer for me.

Welcome back Jim after your NZ holiday, which is now a long time ago. I have a Hyundai Tucson which is Aqua Blue metallic which is a little lighter in colour then the Audi, but once washed sparkles in the sun. My view of full disclosures is, when someone spends a lot of money on something in this case the Audi RS5, full disclosure is a must. When a dealership fails to provide the full information on defects, repairs, resprays of that vehicle, then they need to be called out. The customer in light of this new information on what has been done previously to buying the car, and the dealership confirming the work has be done, the vehicle should have been sold for a lesser price. By calling the dealership out, hopefully will protect future customers when buying from dealerships that don't support full disclosure. All the best from Down Under.

Another great video. I was already watching for a few minutes when I felt something was off, could not tell what. Then I realized: no music, no talk. Suddenly it all made sense and came together. I wish at least 2 videos a month were released; that might help to get to 100K subscribers, which would be a well-deserved achievement. As Jim previously said, he is a detailer making videos, not a KZbinr, so... Yet I would like to challenge that. Maybe Jim could be both, as he brilliantly does both activities!
