Jim, you are a detailer in every sense of the word! From washing to prepping to paint correction to polishing to toothpickery to paint protection. You are one of the best! Cheers from Canada.

Is it just me or does the porsche paints respond really well to the corrections!! They always look amazing after Jim works his magic. I like the honesty of the wheel nuts, not that the average Joe would notice such tiny details. Perfect result as always and a pleasure to watch a master craftsman at work. 👍👍

20:48-21:41 Yeah, it's amazing because it's the biggest channels with the hugest followings and their self proclaimed "mastery" of the industry that portray to know it all and yet they put out a lot of misleading information. Take Esoteric for example, I once argued in one of his videos where he had said all you need to do to apply a ceramic coating is to wash the car, decon the pain with your chemicals and with the clay, IPA to "remove old waxes and sealants" (which we all know IPA doesn't do, it just removes residual polishing oils) and your car was now ready to coat. I told him that that was wrong, and that you needed to at least go over it with a finishing polish to really get the paint bare and get that ceramic coating to truly bond the best and perform as well as it can as well as last as long as possible. He said that I was wrong, to which I replied well what about if the vehicle had Soft99 Fusso applied to the paint (a PTFE based sealant), would I be able to just get away with the steps and the ceramic would bond just fine? To which he replied "I don't know, I'm not familiar with that product" or something along those lines, which just proved my point!! You never know what the car your customer is giving you has on the surface, and the only way to truly get it bare and ready for a coating is to give it a good polish, EVEN IF THE CAR HAS ZERO IMPERFECTIONS. You don't have to put a microfiber cutting pad and use your coarsest compound, you can literally just put a fine polishing/finishing pad on your machine and give it a good buzz over with something like sonax perfect finish. Then you can proceed to IPA and install whatever you want, whether that's a high end professional installer only coating or a spray wax. Truth is, these people are in the market of selling you products, not teaching you how detailing actually works best. Could you follow Esoteric's instructions and get away with it? Of course you could. Would it perform and last the same as if you did the prep work (including polishing!) correctly? Nope, not a chance. It's very few people who are actually transparent and let you know the truth, such as obviously Jim from white details, Waxmode (love his channel), and Sandro from Car Craft Auto Detailing. There are a few more but those are my top 3 because they've been extremely transparent from the start and those are my 3 favorites. Waxmode for the eye candy, White Details for the JAW DROPPING, world class detailing (the industry standard IMO) and hands down THE best production in the industry. Seriously, Jim, your editing and videography are TOP NOTCH and not "just for a detailing channel", I mean for anybody. Sandro is also in my top 3 because I also find that his work is world class and his production is also done to a very high standard. They both have their own styles, Sandro is a bit more on the educational side with lots of narration. Anyway, Jim and Sandro are definitely two of the best detailers on the face of the planet, and neither of them are self proclaimed "I'm the industry standard, I know what I'm talking about and you don't" snobs. They're down to earth and willing to share HONEST and accurate information. Rant over, had to get it off my chest. Your content always blows my mind, Jim, I'm gonna go ahead and say that you're #1, I'd put you up against anyone in the industry.

Totally agree. Sandro and Jim are my favourites too and its just a joy to watch them, which rarely happens when the videos are so long! I'd like to also add Larry from AMMONYC, but he is a bit niche imo and not that informative as Jim and Sandro.

Blown away, agreed, this was the perfect colour to detail as this came out very well on my phone's screen. Thanks for talking about the skewers- I was one of the people to ask on the last detail- also I guess, being wooden, the other end could be sanded into a shape thats required to get into a certain troublesome area? Older vehicles being detailed not only reminds me of my youth but the transformation is much more transformative (couldn't think of another word). Green, purple, and other mid dark/ light colours would do very well and would pick up on camera. You actually have my dream enhancement studio, I love how its set up- beautiful. Thanks again.

Awesome video Jim! 😎 Great results from a minor paint correction! I enjoyed the wheel hub refurbishments; I bet all four took a few hours alone. I know which video you mean. He also uses an LHR21 so given the additional throw compared to the 15 he won’t be able to get anywhere near the edges. Another few mm and the backing plate would have hit the panel edge. Awesome work dude 👍🏼

Congrats on the feature article Jim. That magazine couldn't have picked a better celebrity for their Pro Detailer magazine. Going to try and subscribe to the magazine, hopefully they ship to the United States ?! Also going to try and get a copy of the magazine with this particular article. Thank you for taking the time and posting these very useful tips and "training" of sorts for detailers who are just getting started or enthusiasts like myself who enjoy learning very useful "pro" detailing tips on how to correctly compound and polish a vehicle. Also thanks for showing the products that you use on a detail. That may help others in the future. Again, thanks for posting and doing everything you do to help others. It is very much appreciated by us enthusiast detailers out here in the entire world. Take care Jim.

Great job as usual but at 48:48 you scraped over the rear heat element in the rear screen removing the stickers. The safest way would of been to use your finger nail plastic blade or as a last resort start the blade at the top of the letter coming down before hitting the element.
