Minor Swing is a composition of Django Reinhardt AND Stephane Grappelli, as far as I know !!! Gipsy jazz is the fruit of the meeting between the 2 equally great genius.
@GypsyAndJazz4 жыл бұрын
You are right! I wrote only Django because I teach Django's solo here. Stephane is not less amazing than Django
@martinmilan31693 жыл бұрын
Grappelli is one of the great violonist but Django is unique

Hello! Ive been playing a jazz guitar for several years. However I am still having hard time to find correct notes on differnt chords. I want to purchase your course so I was wondering If you can recomend one of your online lesson. I want to know how to play changes over the chords.
@GypsyAndJazz2 жыл бұрын
Why don't you try starting with The Magic of Triads? The principles in this free lesson and the one on simplifying chord changes fit right in. A great way to learn to improvise over chord changes!

@@GypsyAndJazz Thanks for the reply! I bought your two lessons packs! And few more questions! First, I am working on Autum leaves on key of C, and I'm trying to play them with traids. As you know, chords progressions are 2-5-1-4 and 7-3-6-6(dominant6). I think I can use (2)Gmaj - (5)Gmaj - (1)Cmaj - (4)Fmaj and (7)Emaj -(3)Emaj - (6)Aminor - (6) - Amajor. Do you think this is correct? m7(b5) makes me really confused since its minor II -V progression. I feel like I could ignore II on the other hands, I also feel like I could use D minor. Could you recomend me a simple way to improvise Autumn leaves. There are so many Jazz Standards that shares this progression and it makes me always wondered.

Phrases, not sentences Maestro........
@GypsyAndJazz5 жыл бұрын
Hi Charles. Why? I look at it as musical sentences. I think it describes my point deeply But phrases is a good way to put it too.
@charlespeterson37985 жыл бұрын
@@GypsyAndJazz In English, a sentence is a set of WORDS, with predicate, pronoun, verb, etc. But the way you play, you can call it what ever you want.
