I signed up for this over 2 weeks ago from At&t GoPhone (was also previously on At&t post paid service). Took a min to port over, was super easy to set up all the APN settings, and it's worked great in my area. I have an unlocked iPhone 5S and iPhone 8 Plus, and both work with it. Lack of seeing individual voicemails stinks, but it's a small sacrifice considering the price of the service to begin with. I'm happy as a clam!! I still get mobile hotspot and everything else I want, all for $15/mth. It's a dream come true for a frugal person such as myself. I love knowing how much money I'm saving compared to people who spend $100s on their cell phone bill.

I switched to Mint last week and ported my number from MetroPCS in just less than 1 minute. I have noticed the wired thing that mint coverage is better than MetroPCS even though both operate on T mobile network. With this price point that MInt offers now, makes it better deal among prepaid offers. I am going 6 months after my 3 months trials end. 20$ per month is a very good deal for me. I will be saving 60$ over 6 months period.

I switched to Mint Today. I had no issues with porting my number using Samsung galaxy s6 unlocked (AT&T) phone. A lot of people said things about the customer service, so i decided to call to see how quickly they respond, on second ring, someone answered. I think, it is best deal out there. I am using 3 month plan, but will switch to 1 year.

Stetson, any step-by-step suggestions for setting up the custom API settings on a Windows 10 Mobile phone? I've tried to translate the Android process steps into the differing Windows 10 menus, but failed to get group texting to work right. I do have the option of going to MS Retail Store, but they're pretty clueless about MintSim, or its' API requirements.

Great review! Right now, MintSIM is probably the best T-mobile MVNO imo. Also, about the speed cap, all of the MVNOs have speed caps. Most of them have a 20mbps down / 10mbps up cap, so the 20/20 is actually better than average.

After reviewing all of these carriers, do you have any desire to switch from Cricket? I had them for a little while, but didn't like them too much. I had the sane plan that I did on my previous carrier, also the same phone, but they seemed to count up my data usage differently because I was running out mid month, when I could easily make it through an entire month on my previous carrier with the same amount of data. (My usage habits didn't change either according to my phone's data usage page)

APN settings, lack of silly visual voicemail features, and a 20Mbps cap aren't even issues enough to be considered caveats. Being stuck on the Tmobile network sure could be though. Still, those are pretty good prices.

Roaming domestic ( in the USA) usually isn't charged by anyone. However I don't believe mint gets roaming like metro for instance. Keep in mind international roaming is probably charged, unless you use postpaid T-Mobile/vzw or att.

MintSIM has been a pain recently. Everything as fine until my service got cut off out of nowhere. It did come back up, but a month later, the SIM card died. I contacted MintSIM for replacement and it took 2 weeks for the sim card to arrive... While my service was still active. Basically 2 weeks worth of service went down the drain. Im taking a look at your other cell phone plan because i cant stand this much longer.

How about a Speedtalk review. They're selling a limited $60 a year plan, but have no clue if they're trustworthy.

Data does not rollover. It simply resets each month.

+Connor Amburgey Hi Connor, Mint does not support Binge On. All cellular data you use will count against your high speed allotment.

L If available, I think you're right. The first 3 months really can't be touched by any other carrier, but it gets more interesting after that if you can find an unlimited plan that doesn't throttle you all the way down to 2G. I can work with 3G, but can't do much with 2G.

Stetson Doggett idk... they seem pretty lax about that requirement. I managed to sign up with a screenshot from bitskins (buy and sell csgo skins).

So far Mint is not corrupt like FreedomPop. I pay a set price for 3 months of service and even though I use my 10 gigs in a few days the service just slows down like the old modem days. They don't go into my account and charge unauthorized fees. FreedomPop just charged my CLOSED ACCOUNTS! That's right, I closed my account due to unauthorized charges by them and verified by phone that I no longer have any accounts with them, but this month got an email stating they have charged my closed accounts again. I had 2 closed accounts and they charged each. The Better Business Bureau had so many complaints when I checked. They are turning their customers intro fraudulent charged victims and turning their shareholders into theives.

Divergent Droid I would get something that supports band 12 so iPhone se or 6s and most Android phones. For best coverage.
