They have to be vetted by Bethesda to make sure they don't cause issues because people can't fix issues that come up with modding. You just can't effectively mod on Xbox the way you can on pc.

The match as a whole might be balanced, but the gap between the worst and best player on is so massive its disgusting. The SBMM system should make sure people from each team are as close in skill to each other rather than looking at the average of the skill of all the players in the match

Devs are able to accomplish a lot due to reduced inexperience executive hindrance. Also the restructuring of course plays a big factor along with other things. Remember 343 was under Microsoft complete control. The executives forced them to do micro transactions in halo 5 and infinite. They also forced rushed the game and released it unfinished. It is important to always blame people who are actually responsible and who can actually change it.

I legit don't even wanna play PvP in Infinite, which has never been the case, even in Halo 5 Guardians. It is so fucking sweaty that it's unbearable. I will die on the hill if need be when I say that the SBMM is smothering the game. It's pervasive in every single playlist, even Infection. Why Infection of all modes? They're shoehorning it into every mode and cranking it up to the maximum. I just play Firefight now. I'm restricted to playing a single mode out of more than a dozen.

For Halo on PlayStation, I hope it works out. I’ve been a Xbox owner for years and just last week, I purchased Death Stranding (deluxe edition), a PlayStation exclusive on sale ON THE XBOX STORE! Now millions of Xbox players can play a game they probably thought they’d have to get a new console for, just imagine if PlayStation owners could play Halo, maybe even with us if crossplay is allowed. Halo on Playstation, I grew up playing halo from the day I could pick up a controller and I was a 90s baby. It was a fond childhood memory and experience. I'm genuinely happy for them if they get the opportunity to share the same experiences and I hope they get to be enlightened by the awesome journey and hell I'd even say I'm envious they get to experience it from the beginning as I dream I could ever get the chance to fall in love with the franchise I adore to this day regardless of its ups and downs. I'm not going to be a gate keeping petty child over who gets to and who doesn't get to play it but maybe the expanded fanbase will help push the company to flourish and I want to see it at the top of charts again so I'll always be open to it because who am I to say who does and doesn't get to appreciate something I believe deserves the praise.

If anyone is playing on Xbox. Set your video Fidelity and overscan mode from auto recommended to HDMI. It will make your screen go to 640p for a minute but just hit the back button and set your settings to 1080p at either 60 or 120. This will get rid of the input lag on Xbox. It works. I figured this out after wondering why my aim was so garbage on this game for 2 years. And now it actually feels like Halo again.

Honestly the no royalties thing reminds me of a previous situation where the Witcher Book author sued CDPR for more money due to not thinking ahead and only taking a lump sum payment instead of royalties. Now this situation is a lot more tame but also understandable from both sides. Its shitty for Microsoft to not give them royalities when it would be a tiny drop in their ocean of revenue but if it wasnt in a contract, no company unless they are incredible nice are going to start doing something new just to be nice.

I think Halo coming to PS is only a good thing. Nothing has weakened the Xbox brand more than Xbox themselves, be it "if you want to play offline get an Xbox 360" or "if you want extra storage it'll be 3x the price of what it costs on PS5." So Halo being on a competing system is fine by me, any loyalty I had to Xbox died years ago anyway. Especially since I've been on PC only for about two years now, my Series X is just a blu-ray player at this point.
