how to improve art quickly.. its all about the mindset and the way you practice. take every art you make as an application of knowledge then polish. dont go blindly drawing and think that someday it will get better. thats just too vague. its better to know what your mistakes are and improve on them than just going through the motion and think you will eventually get there, thats just too slow. think about proportions, think about its 3d form. the most important thing study references until you see it picture perfect in your mind. study XD..

One of the oldest drawings I have is from when I drew my mom in kindergarten. In the album the kindergarten staff wrote a quick line about everything, and they called my drawing a self-portrait 😹 I felt so roasted when I found that albums a few years ago. Though I really tried paying attention to my mom's body shape and even drew her little pearl earrings (which I didn't have)they still thought it was me. Still, I'm really proud of smol me from back then 👍

I went through that stage. I recommend Ibispaint X for mobile and Clip studio or paint Tool Sai for tablets if you're too cheap to use Ps (photoshop)

Your style has definitely changed from Japanese to Korean. Very colourful, bright, not really my favourite but you make it look decent. Just a critical opinion : you need to study anatomy if you want to make your art more accurate but for your earlier style it seemed that it didn't need much improvement outside shading and linework 👁️ I'm curious how you will develop, you certainly seem like such fun

I agree with the brush experimentation, but not in terms of texture. Experiment with flow and how the brush feels, not with how it looks. I paint with default brushes. I dont rely on the brushes to make my work look good, I just know how to work with what I have. Hell, I even paint in mspaint sometimes while bored in class just because I can. The quickest way to improve is via study. Study actual photos, techniques, form, anatomy, all of that. You'll grow quickly if you treat it like a skill similar to reading, writing, or math instead of an expression. Treat it as if it were a class and push yourself to learn. A personal note to you, you could definitely use a better understanding of anatomy. You seem to just wing your drawings without any real construction/sketching. That's fine, but your proportions and anatomy end up really wonky as a result. Oh and this isnt about it being "anime" or "a style," there is a difference between a style and a crutch. You dont understand the fundamentals of your subjects, so your style is saving it instead of complimenting it. Best of luck to you! I'm also willing to chat with you more on this and teach you if you'd like.

So, I had a cat, he was my parents moving gift and I drew him... it’s the first drawing I ever remember drawing... but the drawing literally looked like an ant... in his little cat house... that drawing means so much to me... that cat lived to be 15 years old and he was even an outside cat... Though I think the tips you gave in the video were really neat! I don't think these tips will necessarily help you improve as a new artist. If you really wanna improve you're gonna have to study no matter what. What I like to do is find my favorite artists and try to replicate their art style. Study how they build their pictures or how they use postures. If anything your video is very helpful on how to explore new elements in digital drawings, and it is inspiring for sure, so thanks for sharing! ^^

To really improve your art the last thing you can do is redraw. You are drawing the same mistake again and again. Draw something else, make your drawings look 3d, light and shadow, experiment, read! Some authors that are good to read and learn from: Andrew Loomis (all books) Glenn Vilppu (Drawing manual, quick sketch, hands and feet) Proko (watch his videos)
