This is a very intresting movie. And it's amazing how all the issues in the film could have been avoided/solved if matt had actually been a good friend to Andrew and not done shit like avoiding him at school for zero reason and abandoning him at a party he invited him too, then helped andrew make money by betting on local baseball matches and telekinetically changing the balls trajectory mid air to win and stuff like that.
@filipgasic26422 жыл бұрын
Wdym he was a good friend. After they got powers all 3 of them became better towards one another. Also how tf are you going blane this on anyone besides Andrew lol. Matt even tried to compromise and help Andrew at the end before even thinking to attack him
@FabioKun2 жыл бұрын
Andrew was a whiny little birch. Then again, teenagers. I wouldn't have done it any differently if I had gotten superpowers at a dark time in my life
@Santisima_Trinidad2 жыл бұрын
@@filipgasic2642 i mentioned the 2 main things we are shown about matt being a bad friend. Now, Sure, after they got superpowers matt was significantly more buddy buddy, but that worked only towards giving Andrew the impression that his superpowers were the only worthwhile thing about him, enhanced by everyone clapping for him when he used his superpowers, and then reverting to hating him when he was just himself. One step further, and as he is one of the only people with superpowers, and definitely the strongest, he is worth more than everyone else. Stick on a healthy dose of being made to feel worthless and being constantly shoved around before getting superpowers, when he gets to the point of thinking he is worth more than everyone else he starts pushing others around, going full supervillan. Sure, matt tries to talk him out of it, but why would he listen? Matts just trying to push him around. Push him into going to another "party", just so he can abandon him again, leave Andrew to be jeered at. Now, all that being said, I'm not saying any of Andrews actions are Matts fault, all the blame for the death and destruction caused lies solely on Andrew. What I'm saying is that if Matt had been a better friend to Andrew from the start, then Andrew probably wouldn't have gone full supervillan, and Matt wouldn't have had to kill him.

i bloody love cronicles... its one of my favourite films, im not sure why. Maybe because its realistic, as normal people with superpowers are just like normal people with a winning lottery ticket. money and power doesnt change who you are (at least not immediately), it just cranks it up to 11. And why there are so many sad stories about people winning the lottery.

Saw this one in the cinema. Was a bit annoying at points, like the father being completely textbook abusive parent but still one of my all time favourites. In terms of how their TK actually works is unique because it suggests that there's no upper limit to how much mass they can manipulate. Although it has to be stated, the difference in ability between Matt and the other two is considerably more than you see in this video. Therefore it's unlikely that Matt will get much stronger or innovate without the help of Andrew and Steve. Would love to see a spiritual successor to this movie.
@atomicanachronism88492 жыл бұрын

When I first watched this movie I was like WTF why the did the weird one of the group totally flip when he gained super powers rather than just dip when his home life deteriorated. If he had not caused an explosion before his mom died he could have just told his dad good bye and fuck off to literally any where in the world. I think the dude in Jumper had the right idea. He had an equally as shit home life but rather than getting all edgy and declaring himself some kind of predator he left.
