Neither really makes sense, as Mirio is seen to be strong but not super strong, and he shouldn’t actually be able to materialize his hand beneath the armor unless there were a gap there. (Actually I guess he could cause like air blood is a fluid and can therefore be displaced with his power so he would need to calculate the point were he would be just in the blood stream, and make exactly that length of his hand tangible.

That was just a flex, he didn't need to do that and the match is so lighting fast to not making you realize he's broken as he's either faster than light as he knocks down several opponents before anyone else does anything at all Or he can just do anything really as people can't touch him no matter what That's unfair in a way the author thought how to make him look like he's more smart and proficient than having broken abilities. Unlike Tobi in Naruto you can't even counter him by attacking as he attacks. I stopped reading the manga shortly after but I am sure something unfortunate happened to him and is quirk or he always meets opponents who magically always have abilities that can still hit him or else he would just be an unfair advantage as long as he's around.

He can basically kill a person with one punch if he aims for the heart or brain.

Kamui warps through dimensions so it could be exploited while Permeability just makes the body permeable obviously lol which means that there is no other dimension or whatever which makes it more difficult to counter. That, along with Mirio's mastery, wit, tenacity, and battle experience makes him potentially rival both Endeavor and Hawks despite being a student

Thats why you cant avoid counter attacks if you attack someone This is easy too counter. Goku did it against Hirudegarn and Minato against Obito. But Mirio can turn his hand solid while making the rest untoucheable similar to a logia user in One piece . Remember when Crocodile pinned Luffy down with one hand and luffy tried to punch his body only to fail ? Because Crocodile similar to Mirio can turn his body partially intangiable

There’s almost always a counter to someone’s quirk, someone with a quirk that can hold him in place non-physically like a gravity manipulator or mental disrupter would disable his entire quirk since he wouldn’t be able to dash around. Any quirk that makes you intangible would make him also useless against you, kirishima actually should have countered him pretty hard since mirio only has his bare fists to hit with and mirio would take way more damage hitting him than he could do to kirishima. Todoroki and mina actually counters mirio the hardest here, coating the floor with fire or acid would force him to retreat, mirio needs his feet materialised to stand on the surface and if he goes under he can’t leave the ground without materialising a part of him, which would immediately get burned as he reached the surface. Their biggest disadvantage was not knowing his quirk whilst he probably knew all of theirs, him being blind and not able to breathe while his quirk activates is a massive flaw that they didn’t get to exploit.

@@SohiHien It would seem inconsistent that doing so wouldn’t just propel his hands out or at least hurt his hands an as well, as far as I understand he is still intangible whilst he remains in something even if he deactivates his quirk. I would have thought that Kirishima only hardened his arms as usual and that’s why it didn’t work, though if you’re correct then that definitely is a powerful attack.

@@lordwind9745 You're right that he shouldn't be able to hit him past his armor unless there is a gap under his skin which there isn't. Though he is quite strong, like physically, as night eye would have had him training for One For All, he still should struggle vs him. In terms of coating the surface that wouldn't fully work. All he needs to do is make the bottom of his feet solid for a moment and it propels him up, then with that momentum going up he reestablishes his quirk passing through and passes through everything on the surface.

@@ipizza9941 Yea he has lots of skills but that last part was mainly because he kept going through the floor, no one tried to realize what he was actually doing until Deku pointed it out and predicted him. But when it comes to actual power he loses if he makes one wrong move. He has normal human strength as his quirk just affects himself and not what he does. If you want a big spoiler it's here: Everyone on the battlefield is fighting when the near high-ends appear which freaks everyone out, best jeanist is about to be attacked when Mirio appears out of the ground and hits the nomu, they all fight even more but Mirio even points out that his attacks can't really do anything against them. Bakugo gets his quirk awakening and starts helping out by blasting past and hitting the nomu despite being pierced in the stomach. But yea even if mirio is untouchable when he's up against someone durable he can't do anything.
