I agree. Any% runs are much more interesting to me, as well. Why watch a speedrun that's played the same way I would play the game? I'm not speedrunner but I consider myself to be a fairly decent "casual" player, at least as far as platform games go, so I have a vague idea what it would take to do a speedrun for one of those... The kind of runs they do in 3D games like Mirror's Edge fascinate me because they are generally so much more technical.

using glitches is still legit tho. the only thing you really have to do is to play on the highest possible difficulty and not use cheats of course. other than that, everything that's in the game may be used to your advantage to finish it as fast as possible. that's why so many speedruns for games are like 2-3 minutes xD

Can't argue with that. Blame the game for having so many glitches. Applaud the gamer for exploiting them and using them to beat the game in a timely fashion without hacks. (Hacks and Glitches are 2 diff things btw) I like true speed runs, using every correct way possible, but I also like when someone jumps a gap and drop kick an extra feet to land another building. This speedrun is about beating the game using any glitch/function w/o cheats/hacks in record time. Any other speedrun is considered "regular gameplay, but only faster"

Seeing the absurd amount of negitivity surrounding this speedrun, here is an enlightenment. Firstly this speedrun has been aproved and for a while was listed in offical lists as an world record (obiously before the time was beaten). So the organisation behind these speedruns do approve, because of the sheer fact that the player has used *GLITCHES* not *CHEATS*, if you hate the glitches being there its all on DICE's fault. Over the aspect of the players skill, whilst some glitches are abit easy, some like the out of bounds glitch, do require skill and knowlege of the game. You can tell the player has put alot of hours into the game and centernly isnt a newbie. Finaly on morality there is *NOTHING* wrong with finding exploits of a game, many people use exploits on Super Mario runs, and frankly it seems noone gives a flying shit. I dont imagine the player using these exploits on most of his play throughs. All that is here is a speedrun of *supposibly* of a game they love.
