so beautifully expressed!! I love the examples u offer up- the baby learning to manipulate the world, a new pet or friend, so good. do u associate The World card with your aces at all too?

Thanks, Elle! I definitely would relate The World and The Magician... I don't think of The World right away normally when working with Aces, because I see it as a bit more outside of the rest of the Majors -but- if several Aces came up at once (especially if it's all 4!) or a combination of 10s and Aces then for sure.

Why swords are up at left and not at down right? And cups up left? As coins down left? Thank you. That not seems to respect the order at the world card

Great that you are so observant! It's essential in good card-reading. In this example, the cards are not placed with the World card in mind, and in this case, the order is irrelevant. However, I prefer to place the "active" suits - Swords and Wands - above, and the "passive" suits - Cups and Coins - below. Although I go into elemental associations in another video, explaining how those direct associations between element and suit are not necessarily applicable, Fire and Air are upward-moving elements and Water and Earth are downward-moving elements. Or even simpler, Air and Fire are lightweight, Water and Earth are heavier, or more dense. Further, Air and Water are the more receptive or softer aspects of "active" and "passive" and so are on the "receptive side" - left - whereas Fire and Earth are the more aggressive or harder aspects of "active" and "passive" and therefore belong on the more aggressive or more rigid side, the right side. To go even further, Water and Fire are often considered oppositional, as are Air and Earth, and so belong in opposing corners. There are other arrangements that make sense too, and none is more right or more wrong than any other, but some are more useful for people to understand the interactions of elements better than others. And so, with opposing elements in opposing directions, this can help demonstrate that relationship. Building on that, Air feeds (or extinguishes) Fire in a largely lateral relationship, whereas Earth feeds Fire from below; Air condenses into Water, and Water evaporates or is dried by Air in a vertical relationship, and Water either erodes or congeals into Earth in again, a more lateral relationship. As far as the objects are concerned, the relationships are similar: Cups receive and Coins (money) are the foundation of practical endeavors; Swords and Wands are used to ascend, defend, get ahead, etc. Swords in this case on the left and Wands on the right ensure the hand moves toward the figures we are studying in the centre, but could just as easily be seen the other way around, where the hand is going away from the central figures - neither is correct or incorrect, but this arrangement pulls focus to the central Major cards of study rather than away from them. If, in your studies, you prefer to arrange the Aces in a different order, nothing is stopping you - what matters in this exercise is looking at the similarities of each Ace with Arcanum I & XI, not which order they are arranged in.

@@MirrorsofConsciousness Wow! I didn't even notice the arrangement until I saw Carlos' question. I've looked at many charts and read so much that the simplicity here eluded my comprehension to some degree. This is a great way to look at the elemental dignities. I'm going to lay some cards out and let this explanation sink in. Thank you so much for all that you share.
