Computer science is a kinda field where you will have to learn life long . New technologies are emerging every day so you will have to keep yourself updated inorder to survive in the long run. But management information system grads get more recognition as their experience increases

But as you mentioned, if you know nothing about cs that means your from non cs/IT background. If you want to get into software in India from non cs background , you can choose mca for masters which will teach you everything you need. But if you're planning to go abroad then it might become difficult to switch fields

you forget to tell that MIS person are also do some programing in vba for automating some repetitive work so it is also part of programing both have equal growth MIS person are more in vba and data extracting by using vba macro and that leads to another scope for them that is data science which is more demanding right now

Dont misguide people. MIS guys dont only do sql and excel. Many of them work in project management and those cs guys work under them. In the long run mis guys have more chances of earning more as compared to cs guys.

Hello man, I watch your video on YT and I need one suggestion from you. I am 27 years old from Pakistan and I complete my 4-year Bachelor's degree in Food And Science. Start with ml as it is a part of ai... implement ml algorithms is easy as u just need to import them but first u must know the maths behind them ...u can first. Start off on a free vedio lecture by Andrew ng for the mathematics part on KZbin or coursera.. And how to import learn through stack overflow.. I am also an engineer student will be in third sem couple of months ahead... So better off if u follow my curriculum happy learning

It depends. If a person majors in something other than CS, then they have to take all the basic prerequisites such as those preferred by a job and they can go on from there to do a relevant internship and prove that they can handle the job requirements. It's basically the same in almost all the fields. Although it may be hard and may take longer, it's still possible to get a job with a different major.

I’m here to ask for advice. I would appreciate any suggestions or guidance. I graduated with an MIS degree in CA, however I’ve had a very challenging time with being able to find a job. Unfortunately I didn’t have an internship while studying MIS, therefore my lack of experience is evident. I’ve applied to numerous places, that being State, Federal and Private Sector. However I have NOT had any luck. My question to anyone. What can I do? What do you suggest? Specifically to someone who does NOT have career experience and is looking for entry level at the least. Do you recommend any certifications? If so, which ones? I understand the 2020 Pandemic reshaped the employment process. However I would appreciate any advice, suggestions or guidance, that anyone may be open to sharing here.
