Holly Im loving this day to day watching your build. I was happy you gave the break down of all the different kinds of race's and the vehicle requirement. Doing your own vehicle from scratch shows your commitment and hands on dedication of preparing for the up coming race. Great explanation of the technical aspects of KOH. Kinda cool that you’re reaching so many people who aren’t familiar with this stuff. King of the Hammers is about the only “race” where when competitors get stuck or break, they are often part of the course!! Just another obstacle to crawl over! Stoked to be watching the build and excited to get to see y’all run!! Makes total sense to build your own from scratch: buying a used car is getting someone else’s problem and a machine set up for someone else and how they drive. Fresh build has fewer surprises, you know what’s in it and it’s setup for you. Rock on!! 💪♥️

That’s a solid rundown of the various classes. I’ve only been watching ultra 4 for a few years now and I’m still very new to the various classes and what all is required and such. I’ll never have the money to actually participate in it, but it’s amazing to watch.

You should get with Lite Brite Nation.. They raced in the KOH 4400 class for 2 yrs 2021 & 2022... They live in St, George, UT... MORR should be able to get you in touch with them...

Hey Holly. Something cool is you think about doing a week on the build where you bring in multiple female builder's like Vic from light bright and it would be a Way to get Lizzie from Matt and it would be a Way to show the experience of female builder's in the hurricane, saint gorge area and show there expertise. Yes, Ian is building a Bomber trail chassis (which is different from the race chassis). In fact the chassis and the table it is being built on arrived as we were leaving his shop with the Giveaway Jeep in March. That will be a very fun vehicle out at hammers, but not something I think I’d buy or assemble. I’ve hung out with the creator of that chassis and former multi-year KOH Champaign, Randy Slawson, and had the pleasure of riding passenger in his latest trail chassis build this October during Trail Hero. It’s amazing what can be done with those rigs!!
