This is officially my favourite episode of Itazura no Kissu . I loved how hard of work Kinnosuke did just to find Naoki, and the thing he said, too, were just right, I loved everything at that scene. And now- I think Naoki's character and emotions are getting too obvious to the watchers, that he was struggling with life as much as Kotoko was struggling with love. Naoki speaked his mind to Kotoko, about his worries and his feelings, his life decisions, and how she impacted his life too deeply without her even realising it. He called her with her first name again too. He told her how grateful he was about her saving Yuki and the fact that he was scared, too. It seemed as if the way Naoki looked at the bed, the coffee and the notes was that him thinking of them as a married couple. Or when the nusre made a remark about Kotoko being his 'girlfriend', he didn't deny it, instead he seemed as if he was thinking about it, like, 'well, that does not seem like a bad idea'. And he even kissed her before leaving, secretly and told Yuki not to tak about it. I just love Naoki so much.

This is Naoki’s second attempt at confession and ask Kotoko to date him, and it ended in failure again because Kotoko again didn’t get the message 😂Sometimes, I can’t help but feel that Kotoko is slightly too dumb. When she was feeling depressed about him not doing anything when they were sleeping in the same bed, he literally told her that he knows they both want to do something intimate but he couldn’t because that would only make his mom feel like she has again correctly predicted and manipulated Naoki’s life. Honestly how could a girl ever fall asleep with that when the guy is still talking? 😂 Naoki didn’t even dare to stare into her eyes when they were both awake. They were on the same bed under the same comforter and she was wearing his clothes. If she initiated anything, there was no way Naoki could hold back.

oh my gosh this was probably the best adaptation of this episode out of almost all the versions. I loved how they combined kotoko staying over during the yuki's hospital stay because in the original it was more kotoko being desperate and staying over because of her persistence. I LOVE SO MUCH HOW THEY MADE THE BED SCENE A LOT LONGER AND THEIR CONVERSATION MORE SMOOTH. Kotoko in this adaptation is also so much more independent compared to the other kotoko's which is very refreshing to see. I don't remember this adaptation being this good since I watched it over two years ago haha 🤍

This is a fundamental moment for naoki. Its kind of a rude awakening for him. Sure it crushes his pride to admit for the first time how he was at fault for this mess and how much trouble he caused for people around him but it sure helps him to at least be more open to what's his thinking. And he started with kotoko because for him she was one of those people he owe him an explanation too. And she oftens misunderstood his actions towards dealing through a lot of things that pass. He wanted her to know how sorry he was that he wasn't there. His side of the story on why he resorted into a decision of cutting out all family contacts, his uncertainty on things , the things he is afraid of , and the things he holds importance and value more than anything. He confides on her for everything. He relied on her for comfort in times of destress. But as a man he has to keep his urges at bay still when he and kotoko slept on the same bed. Because if he ever did anything he would end up being a puppet to his mom crazy over calculation of things. Just how his mother went ahead and had them married as soon as he lets them know his heart for kotoko. That's why as you noticed naoki never turned to kotokos side in bed when talking. Had kotoko initiated first naoki wouldn't be able to resist his urge and give in. But i still wished they included cutted scene where Naoki actually had woken up in a middle of the night because her legs were on his private area 🤣🤣 and then he confusedly stares at her. A stare that makes you think. " How can you ever fall in deep sleep with this position i am in ". Because as soon as he removed kotoko's feet on his thighs he got out from bed and drank a glass of water 🤣🤣

Arjoe's version of Itakiss used to be my number one live action, now after the animation this version is my number one favorite. The plot is very similar with Arjoe's version but this one is more realistic and less cringe 😂😂😂😂. And I love how they make Kotoko less dense and more capable, not all helpless.

Fun fact: 44:17 the nurse is Kotoko Aihara/Irie from 1996 version "Itazura na kiss". You can also see Naoki Irie from 1996 version "Itazura na Kiss" in ep 15 when Naoki (this version's) goes to hospital to visit his father and that's when Naoki Irie (1996's version) walks away the hallway and Naoki (this version's) sees him going. For me, who watched both versions, this is such a heartwarming scene to see two Naoki and two Kotoko's together even if it's for a split seconds. It's like watching Naoki and Kotoko time travelled to see their younger versions. 😆☺

Him looking intently at her when she's asleep proves he wanted to progress into what kotoko is thinking but he needs to restrain himself for their still has boundaries. So when they got married i don't blame him being all needy to kotoko into doing that thing. Hahahaha naoki was so into that "thing " that kotoko teased him about it on episode 3. She said " are you feeling sexy again ? " with a teasing tone. In which the latter responded " i am not trying to do anything , what are you thinking. Now lie down and pull your shirt up ".

I was a kid when I first watched this and I thought Naoki's the reason why Kotoko thought of becoming a nurse; so she can be with Naoki even when they're working already. Watching this drama 20th time and i notices that noaki is a one man woman he only loved kotoko except kotoko he didn't kiss anyone although he teased kotoko but he never loved anyone even when he was marring someone else he thought about kotoko he had hallucinations of kotoko when he was watching show with her fiancee he, except kotoko he had never drink coffees made by others he is just a loyal husband yeah he talked with other girls he made kotoko insecure but the thing he was only teasing her He is the perfect example of she fell first but he fell harder I love their chemistry so much although he is rude other thinks that he is walking red flag but I think that he was being rude with kotoko because he was introvert he finds difficulty with his emotion even when he was jealous he didn't know that he was jealous at University a guy was trying to get close to kotoko and ask kotoko to leave noaki , here the jealousy in noaki that had been seen was showing that he is emotionless person but kotoko made him feel every emotion that he never had You will see that kotoko had done a lots of things for noaki to get noaki in her life if I was her I would have also done the same thing infact I have already done all these things you know I was in 11 class and at that time I watched this drama and she was my inspiration for doing all kind of embarassment things for my crush but i failed I forget that this is drama and my life was real And the thing is if kotoko had done a lot of things for noaki noaki had also done a lot for her like he becomes a doctor because of her because he didn't have dream until now but 38:01 when kotoko tells him that you can be a doctor he decided to become doctor so it was kotoko who helped him finds his dream and it was noaki who helped her becoming the nurse and successful in her life if you will see closely although he was rude but he had always love kotoko from my eyes he has a soft side a very soft side where he thought about her he helped her doing her homework and helped her friends too And also he didn't even denied when kotoko of 1996 drama as a nurse said that your girlfriend is very cute, he already accept her as her gf

In a cutted scene of that part. Naoki actually had woken up in a middle of the night because her legs were on his private area 🤣🤣 and then he confusedly stares at her. A stare that makes you think. " How can you ever fall in deep sleep with this position i am in ". Because as soon as he removed kotoko's feet on his thighs he got out from bed and drank a glass of water 🤣🤣
