@ClickbaitMotorsports The Mach 1 isn't better, it just revs differently and has its powerband in a different spot. Makes sense as the motors are different and the 350 revs to 8250. It can match the regular 350's times but I doubt it'll beat a GT350R.

it's only 0.5" lower than a stock Mach 1. In Mustang world that's a mild drop though the Mach 1 is 0.5" lower than a stock GT. Ether way the build is amazing. Need to buy more parts from Steeda for my Mustang.
@stoneeh
@stoneeh Жыл бұрын
@@bnight2 whatever someone may consider normal, low ride height often leads to technical deficiencies. If such a suspension setup still offers damping compliance, it will bottom out under high loads, and else it just becomes too stiff. A lot of technical trickery with bespoke parts and custom adaptive suspension has gone into the Steeda build to allow it to still be compliant and prevent bottoming out.. and it still did bottom out once actually, at Pflanzgarten. Other ways to deal with the issue would be dampers with external reservoirs, or push rod suspension, etc. And let's get real here. 1 or 2 cm lower ride height might introduce said problems, but its supposed benefit, lower center of gravity, just isn't meaningful. No, this is all show & shine, for weak minded people with good credit that don't even drive these cars, except probably the occasional traffic light "race". The only place you ever see cars like these at is in the city, where all that matters to the owner is that it's low, flashy, and loud. It's understandable that Ford or Steeda will address those audiences, because they're businesses, but in general, let's not legitimize the 2F2F crowd, especially not on a legitimate racing channel where it's 0% about optics, 100% about performance.
@bnight2
@bnight2 Жыл бұрын
@@stoneeh i strongly suggest you check my channel and see the stop and go traffic I do. My car is at the top 10 cars on any time attack I do. Moving to lower stiffer suspension dropped 4 seconds of lap times on 2 km long circuit with lots of stops and very uneven track surface. If you look into the Mustang GT4 it’s even lower and stiffer than the Steeda Mustang by a lot. And as we can see the amount of grip that the Steeda Mach 1 has is insane. Also the Mach 1 has a lot of mods to correct Center of Gravity and Bumpsteer to mitigate the issue that the lowering added. It’s clear from Misha video that this is a very fast horse.

I am impressed! Jay Leno had the designer of the car on they say the steering is enhanced. He drove the 10speed automatic. The Ford rep said the 10 speed is meant for the track . It downshifts through the gears. Steeda suspension is amazing. I had a 92 stang set up with it.

I have a 73 Mustang Mach 1 im 17 years old but i like cars since i remember that i exist, and see a Mustang whit the name Mach 1 cornering at the same speed than a Porsche 911 Gt3 weissach package makes me feel so happy and also pushing and overtaking quickly a Porsche 911 Turbo S (i think it was the grey one in the start of the video) a car with a lot of power, all this in the Nurburgring 😍

Fantastic lap Misha and specially in a Mach 1. As of just a couple of years ago I had not driven a Stang and one of the first ones I got to drive was a 2021 Mach 1. Really impressed with the handling and that Coyote V8 and Ive been driving BMW's for about 30 years! Camaro/Mustang have really come a long way from just straight line speed for sure! Looking forward to drive the new Dark Horse, hopefully soon! Greetings from sunny Florida!

I have a '19 GT Mustang with very similar mods as the track pack Mach 1 AND Believe Me the 10 speed auto trans is the way to go!! You need to reprogram max shift point in the upper gears starting with 6th gear with 7th being your 1:1 ratio. Next, reset engine governor speed past the 155 mph limit and run some super two's like Goodyear F1 Supercar 3's 305's. I am also the owner of a GT350, ZL1 1LE, and a '99 SVT Cobra Mustang on major road race steroids Misha glad you love the Mustang! You would Love the 10 speed auto ZL1 1LE! Mine is a 6 speed manual with the standard 6th gear that's lowered 500 rpm so it can still pull if you have enough track.

I need to see ALL the laps. I kind of fell out of love with the mustang platform, but this really makes me wonder what I've been missing out on. very VERY impressive. Im not sure if there was any while driving but from the mics perspective, i didn't hear not a SINGLE tyre squeal. The Mach 1 can really benefit from a supercharger or even a procharger for the amount of weight its moving about, and you can definitely see how deep you had to push those brakes on the downhill sections. Its a really capable machine with all its mods. WOULD LOVE TO SEE MOREEEE. ❤❤❤

Quite realistically it does not matter because peak power of the coyote engine is not at 7500 rpms, the only use you have for the extra rpm is avoiding a shift in some cases.

@@bnight2 just by software remap you don't change the engine characteristics. The peak HP does not wander toward the end of the rpm range by magic and the Mach1 has nearly the identical engine to a GT. Peak power is at 7k rpm.

I’m pulling my brakes off and switching to the GT 350R kit. It’s what should have been on in the first place. One season of track days at Mid Ohio and I’m done with the single piston rear brake. Steeda two piece rotors held up well but the rears get way too hot. Those friction disks took a beating this summer…
