I have loved Taylor's story, it is just a sample of all the humiliation and harassment that a woman can suffer and even more so being the music industry and it is a clear example of how many women continue to attack others because they continue to have this in their lives the micro- sexism and the misogynist, she is a great woman so talented that she does everything and has everything.

How can you be opressed and a vixtim and at the exact same time score monster hit after monster hit since your early 20's, be the most famous name in music and have half a billion dollars? Answer: you can't.
@kevinbaldwin78052 жыл бұрын
"Micro-sexism". There's not such thing. You're just looking for ways to be a victim. Kinda like how they call it a glass ceiling because you can't see it. But you can't see it because it doesn't exist.
@abeautifuldayful Жыл бұрын
@@jccusell That's beside the point. It's not about oppression as the type the impoverished masses might feel but about specific types of repression, to which those of us who work hard at everything we do, gain success by the world's standards and enjoy relatively good health, and even rich celebrities are not immune. Fame and fortune don't create automatic well-being or protection of the soul and mental health. You still have to do the hard stuff. The world can still be more relentless than your mighty defenses and get to you even when you're careful as you can.

people are still scrambling for ways to drag her cause of this documentary but you know what? i think this film was a sort of healing process for her and i’m so happy she did it. everyone’s spectrums are different, but trauma is trauma and i’m so thankful that she shared hers. people can reach for ways to keep hating her, but her vulnerability (throughout her entire career and including this) has helped a lot of people and trying to belittle her impact doesn’t change the fact that she has changed so many people’s lives

I feel like she has a fear of other people making a documentary of her that she wouldn't find authentic, so she decided to beat other people to it and tell her own story. It's very easy to find someone making a documentary about themselves narcissistic but if someone is a global superstar, they will get a documentary, and Taylor knows that, and with her experience of being misrepresented, she would want a version out there that's made by her
@jazs9882 Жыл бұрын
I'm saddened by the fact that I grew up for so many years not "liking" Taylor because of what I thought she represented and what liking her would mean about me. I'm afraid of being judged from any and all directions, but I can definitively say that listening to what she has to say is worth everyones time. I know my opinion doesn't matter much and that she doesn't need it, but I respect her so much. This has been an inspirational experience.

Hey! Fellow Swiftie here. I love your comment so much! I'm curious, do you mind elaborating on "what I thought she represented"? I watched this during Covid and it completely formed my opinion of Taylor Swift. As a middle aged woman, I really hadn't thought one thing about her either way and I had vaguely heard of a few of her songs. I did like the ones I knew of. Fast forward to 2024. I COMPLETELY respect this young, talented, vibrant woman. I wish her all the happiness and success she deserves. I can't believe so many people are giving her such crap about her political opinions AND who she dates. And now the (fake) Evangelicals are chiming in about her and Satan? WTF? Leave her alone. Mind your own business and focus on your OWN family. I can guarantee she doesn't care about you or what you think.

5 years old! Crazy she disappeared from the spotlight for a whole year, from then on Taylor decided to reconstruct a whole belief system to truly break away from the peer pressure of others not just people on talk shows but also internet trolls public opinion can hurt just as badly as any physical wound and it can also put a huge damper on our spirits next to our confidence there's always a beauty standard that's hard to live up to; if you're not skinny you're fat shamed, if you're too skinny you're labeled as having an eating disorder and when the majority of the Internet decides to not love you anymore the pain is very real making it hard to shut out when it comes to sexual harassment as well Taylor truthfully expresses how upsetting it is to go through that process and how dehumanizing it is, it is very frustrating when you have to prove what actually goes on in the music industry not just Hollywood plus the fact that bad people are paid to humiliate the victims even more still, Taylor continues to have her own voice to stand out, make her stance on politics pretty clear, and not letting haters dictate her life choices there's only 1 like her and she is here to stay this is brilliant documentary showing how one female artist can break the mold and her silence letting her true self shine for all to fully understand
