I was a big fan of Miss May I back in the day. I do agree with you on the clean vocals on this song, they also took me out and felt there was a little too much of them. Levi is a great vocalist but some range here and there wouldn't have hurt this one

The cleans is what they're known for now they been doing that more since the 3rd or 4th album. Listen to the first two albums more heavier. They're still heavy they just took a different approach like a more mature sound now.

I agree all the way. The only thing that helped the chorus a little bit was that the cleans weren’t the obnoxious high whiney vocals like every metalcore band does.

I miss the days where metalcore wasn't so formulaic. When Messengers by ABR came out it was like a light flicked on. Misery Signals too. But now it's all the exact same formula. Not every song needs a clean chorus. Seriously. I appreciate it way more now when bands don't do it.

I've always felt the same about every song by them that I've given a chance to. Great guitar work. That's the end of my praise. Vocals written by a 15 year old. Choruses that completely take me out of the song. Breakdowns that are meh. I can't tell this song from any of the others I've attempted to listen to.
