@@mush_r00m__66 the first one is a little slow until chapter 6, and then it gets really good. you just have to stick with it. the second book is my all time favorite. there’s six altogether, but they’re kind of split in half. the last 3 book are a very different vibe but still connected and still good.

As someone who’s never read the book, I lovedd this movie when it came out 😭 then I read abt all the things they changed and I was like oh… lmfao it definitely could’ve been better and would’ve made for a great movie series! It’s one of those movies that’s good if you treat it as its own thing I think

I honestly got into the books because of the movie. It is now one of my favorite book series. I also enjoyed the spin-off series: Wolves of the Beyond. I actually read them before I realized they were connected.

I sort of agree with you on the final act being disappointing, it's a LOT different from the book, however the book's version would have been difficult to put on screen so I understand why they changed it. Either way I love both versions, and you should definitely read the book, it's so good

Apparently, the actress who plays Emma was really in the air during the scenes she flies and the shoes were really full of plumb. i read the book in middle school and i remember feeling like such a cool hipster kid for reading it because of the sheer Vibes. correct me if i’m wrong but i believe the author based a lot of the peculiar characters on like vintage found photographs, and they were included in the book as well as a sort of storytelling device
