For a little context this movie starts right as Britian is giving Hong Kong back to China after over 100 years of occupation in 1997. As you know this movie came out in 1998 so it was very recent at the time. The story has alot to do with colonization. Especially in regards to the British governor villain stealing priceless artifacts from the chinese and kidnapping the ambassadors' daughter.

3 parts of this movie that really make me crack up laughing are: 1. When Carter starts dancing like Michael Jackson in the middle of the street after blowing the car up 2. When Lee and Carter are bonding and practicing disarming techniques while Edwin Starr's song "War" plays in the background 3. When Carter says "I know that ain't the bomb. Get that bomb away from me." Towards the end. And trust me, the blooper reels for the remaining two movies are just as funny when it comes to the slip-ups with the dialogue. Also, RIP to Elizabeth Peña (Johnson), Chris Penn (Clive Cod), Phillip Baker Hall (Police Captain William Diel) and Tom Wilkinson (Jun Tao)
