Money laundering. Everybody knows it. Just depends if we want to feign ignorance or not.

The L'Oréal group would have been a perfect partner to the MUO. It's a cosmetics and fashion powerhouse. It's complete. It's global. It's trusted 💜💙💚❤️

😵💫My head is spinning! Here we go again, yet ANOTHER change. Though I’m pleased to see the Miss Universe organization can be taken off of life support, what does this REALLY mean?!? (sigh) 😔😣 Thanks Dani, for this update. We should make sure Dani gains more followers. She always gives great, more insightful updates-to-date information regarding the pageants. Kudos, Dani!

What is really means is that the pageant is now owned by people based in parts of the world where pageants are still a big deal.

Dani, I just caught your video and I am totally blown away! You are such an articulate and knowledgable personality and your informative updates on the very important business side of things in real time are beyond awesome. I hope that the Miss USA and Miss Universe organization pageant directors in Montana (and elsewhere) realize what a rare gem that have in you, especially for the future of the organization. You are simply outstanding! When I competed in 2018 for Ms Senior Oregon USA I had a few of my own "eye opener" experiences... Blessings, Debbie (in the majestic Pacific Northwest!)

Debbie you’re so sweet! Thank you for your sincere compliments. I appreciate you returning to watch this episode 💕

It's a good thing that anne won't be calling the shots on her own. I just hope the competition will judged fairly. Please no more crazy changes. i wish they kept the img standards.

I agree, please no more crazy changes. Let's just focus on a great show and reign for the queens.

Have you seen Nia Sanchez's podcast Morgan Romano said that when she was Miss USA she had to spend her own money because she basically had no director during her reign! How crazy is that!!!

I haven’t, but it doesn’t surprise me. Noelia still hasn’t moved into her apartment and barely makes appearances. I released an episode about how much I spent for Miss USA. Most people don’t understand the out of pocket costs that queens take on.

I feel like Miss America has gotten more coverage in less than a month than any of the MUO titleholders have.

.@@DaniWalker When I first heard the product triangle, I immediately think of multi level marketing. I hope they will not turn Miss Universe products and services into multi level marketing schemes which is kind of dubious and unethical.

I feel like it's been so transitional for so long that my take on all of it is TBD. I mostly hope that Sheynnis wouldn't be negatively impacted by a transitional year. Also, unrelated, I saw where Nia Sanchez has launched a podcast and would LOVE to see you as a guest to be interviewed!!

Thank you Dani for another awesome video, always keeping us up to date with accurate information. I really enjoy them. In regards to this change...I agree with you 100%. In addition, as I've said in one of your prior videos, it makes a lot of business sense to bring in a Latin American partner, considering Miss Universe is such a big deal for most of Latin America. And although Ann will cover a larger area, they both still have about the same amount of current powerhouses. Thailand, South Africa, Philippines, India, and France vs. Venezuela, Colombia, USA, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Granted, we want the best candidate to win each year, regardless of her represented country, but we can't ignore powerhouses mean big money for the organization due to exposure. Btw, if I missed a powerhouse or two, I didn't mean it offensively. Thank you again Dani.
@DaniWalker11 ай бұрын
You’re very welcome and you make a great point about the split of powerhouses.

So many things changed in past 2 years that its difficult to digest everything at once. Buying and selling, buying nd selling, business, money and bidding wars like what the hell? Where is the queen. What is she doing. What did Rbonny do in her reign other than glamorous photoshoots and travelings. Its feels like MU has no purpose now. I feel like this 50-50 relationship won't last long. There is so much confusion. 😵💫😵💫

All i can say is I can understand how overwhelming change can be for anyone, contestants and all. For example, I been attending miss Virginia USA since the later part of the last decade but recently I found out that the miss Virginia USA changed directors I would wonder how much miss Virginia USA will change from the previous directors vision to the current directors vision. What will be the same? What will be different? Another thing: in your opinion, what would you say is the purpose of miss universe/miss usa? What should it be about? What is it really about? I adk because of that video you shown where the higher ups preferred certain types of girls to win despite them saying, "anyone can join..." When the reality is the girls they say can join like the married women and all they really don't want to win. This is one of my big concerns, making me question whether or not to continue supporting the organization. Certainly i won't agree with everything they do, but if they really want true inclusivity they should allow other types of women to win and not just women of a certain type.

The desperation to have another winner (is so obvious) hanging on to a failing business because of her management just to have another title. Remember how Paula left and I quote "a transformational leader is not about chaos, etc, but about supporting your team" IMG did right.

I think some changes was needed to keep MUO afloat but I hope this move doesn't alienate other regions. I think Miss Universe should have a large number of contestants in large venues and hosted in a completely different region (my dream scenario). I do feel like MUO just caters to the powerhouse regions which is fine but the entire world needs to buy in.
@sofiaplays77711 ай бұрын
Rumor has it that there are countries that are bidding high for their contestant to win the title. This is an outside source that I’ve heard so far. 😬

For a while now unfortunately. I spoke to former head of licensing back in May, I believe, and he said it’d been gone for a while. I believe the change came around the time Anne set up MUO offices in Thailand.
@beambreaker11 ай бұрын
Honestly, I think these are for the most part POSITIVE changes coming to the organization. I can understand from a contestant standpoint its a bit shakey. But hey we wished for a fresh new MUO and at least they are trying to get it going for the first time ever. Lets face it, it IS a staple in the industry and gettting more products out there is only going to widen the brand.

I’m really not feeling this new changes…I support all ages and mother,married and transgender ,I gotta admit I didn’t like it at first and then I realize it’s a great opportunity and it’s giving us the impression of what women can do and offer to society that can uplift regarding the circumstances … I don’t think beauty pageant is the main thing for them ..I personally believe it’s a secondary and they’re more focused to promote their business … the tittle holders are not being treated like a miss universe…. The owner is almost like the winner…

Ugg Dani I wish USA/Universe Hired you on their team. Your ideas would elevate the organization and give our Queens the opportunity and experiences they deserve! I always follow the reigning queen and it seems Miss USA barely books anything and is just there! (It seems that way since she doesn’t post much, I would like to think as a huge title holder you would want to share all the opportunities you get, imo)

The chi colab and those sort of things is not goal. Their goal is to use the miss universe brand to make them money with their own products and miss Aquino products .. But hey they may have other partnerships smh
@DaniWalker11 ай бұрын
I understand. I’m just wondering if it’s more profitable to create partnerships and split profits instead of building new products from the ground up. I’d imagine it takes time, money and resources to find factories, distribution, then market it. I’m sure they were making profits from the Chi collab through licensing their name and trademarks.

@@DaniWalker This is what I've been saying right along. Along with promoting herself as the new head of the MUO, Anne has had to put money into research for the cosmetic and water lines as well as the infrastructure and the marketing for those products. Those things don't come cheap and I'm sure that's where a lot of them money went that caused Anne to file bankruptcy on behalf of her company.
