In the 90s I had a Rockman XPR preamp that I ran into the front end of a 1974 Marshall head. It was glorious.

I had one of the racks and it just filled a certain sound. It was a guilty pleasure thing then as it wasn’t a current trend when I had it. I love having a pedal that NAILS it.

@ the Marshall really warmed it up to the point where it didn’t really have that characteristic Rockman tone. It was really versatile. When I moved on to a different rig it took me a while to adapt to not having all that compression.
