I don't think you mentioned it, but can you explain the role of Potassium Ions in opening and closing the Guard Cells.

I am in 10 but can understand this easily .Doubt-if a variation arises in a population such that some organism are of different colour than their parent generation.Now,my question is - can they interbreed (i mean parent population with some different colour and their progeny having different colour can interbreed or not please give reason) Thanks

If its humid surrounding the plant that means there is moist air outside, which means a less negative water potential. This decreases the water potential gradient between inside and outside of the plant
