If Russian missiles did strike Polish territory, it was by accident as part of the largest missile attack on Ukraine since the war began. As a result, the most natural reaction from NATO, in my opinion, would be to immediately announce plans to deliver additional anti-missile systems to the Kiev government. Let us remain calm; panic will not help anyone, and alarmist voices claiming that we are now in the midst of a NATO-Russia war have nothing to do with reality.

I just looked it up, the number of people killed by Allied bombs in Switzerland during WW2 is 84. 84 in about six years of war in total. That would be about ten people killed within nine months, mathematically speaking. Nine months is how long the war in Ukraine has been going on so far. So it's ten people killed within nine months vs. two people being killed. Those 84 deaths were (officially, but apparently also likely) caused by accident. But there were times, including during World War 2, when people didn't believe in those bombardments being accidents. I don't know (edit to add: in detail) how official Switzerland reacted back then. What I know is that no-one in Switzerland knew about the dangers of nuclear weapons. And that there still was no retaliation. As hard as this sounds, I think 84 such deaths in six years and two such deaths in nine months need to be "ignored". In the sense that there's no retaliation or other kind of escalation following them. There is no doubt in my mind that Switzerland did the right thing by "ignoring" those attacks - despite having reason to believe they were intentional - back in World War 2. Now in this current case, we even know how many deaths and what other kinds of horrors the decision not to "ignore" those two deaths could cause. Two deaths are absolutely no comparison whatsoever.

Switzerland was officially neutral. If they had retaliated offensively, they would have been steamrolled and bombed out of existence. Besides, they were making huge bank.

I think that it’s unlikely that article 5 is invoked over this but it’s still extremely concerning that this happened. Not to mention a citizen of Zambia was forcibly sent to the front lines by Russia. We gotta keep sending weapons to Ukraine and pray this leads to a collapse of putin’s regime.
