A dog owner and her beloved pooch who had been missing for almost three years shared a beautiful reunion when the American bully was found and taken to a local vet by a good Samaritan. Jacqueline Perez and her husband Martin shared an extremely close bond with their dog, Luna, before she was taken from near their home. According to Jacqueline, from Fort Worth, Texas, Luna was let outside to go to the bathroom and never returned. Knowing Luna was not the type of dog to simply disappear, Jacqueline and Martin assumed she had been taken - and as the weeks, months and years went by, the couple increasingly lost hope that Luna would ever be returned, despite being chipped. But then, in May 2024, Luna was found by a local dog trainer, Chris Williams, from Forney, Texas. At the time, Luna was severely dehydrated and weighed just 28 pounds, and so Chris cared for Luna for a week and liaised with a nearby vet, Treasured Pets Vet Clinic. Once Luna’s chip had been scanned, vets were able to contact Jacqueline and Martin to tell them the good news. In complete disbelief, Jacqueline headed to Treasured Pets on May 31, where Luna was brought into the lobby to meet her. Immediately recognizing her owner, Luna wagged her tail with joy and pulled at her leash to head towards Jacqueline for a long-awaited hug.

One day a guy who walked everywhere he went both day & night, came to tell us he spotted a similar dog RIGHT NEXT DOOR! It turned out that one of the tenants who rented a room in the house had admired my daughter's puppy & took him. The puppy thief worked an odd hour shift & didn't speak english - which added to our complications locating her precious fur baby.

Dogs rarely forget people they've met, I once said hi to a dog who comes into my front garden, the owner said every time they wanked past from that day on wards the dog would pull her to the garden and look around, the couple of times I saw them again before I moved the dog went mad wagging it's tail and whining and the dog had only met me once for a few mins before the owner said she changed how she acted towards my garden. Show a dog love and they will react positively show them hate and they will cower or react negatively

We lost my childhood dog for 24 hours and I was a wreck. I’ll never forget him showing up at our door and me going to greet him and him peeing on me out of excitement. I didn’t even care.
