On the morning of May 1, a pro-Russia militia guard post on the outskirts of Krasnoarmeysk was attacked by Ukrainian forces (reportedly Right Sector members) - taking 11 local militia men with them.
Soon after, a crowd from Krasnoarmeysk gathered in front of a Right Sector base, where they tried to find out about their friends' fate. Having no luck, the crowd decided to return to Krasnoarmeysk, and storm the local police building, to show their protest towards police negligence. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

They're already making a REPORT on the story. They have REPORTERS and EDITORS. It's no different than showing up to class. Us being the students and them the teachers because they have the information. Since editors are editing the information anyway I simply suggested throwing in a map while they're at it. Can't run a business by telling people to go do little extra things themselves. Instead of having viewers look up a map every time a new video comes out with a new locations why not simply throw a map on the screen and draw an arrow from where to where they've moved. I've watched numerous other Vice and Vice News videos where they do throw a map in. I would just enjoy seeing a map here in the Ukraine considering how much they bounce around.

.I do not know English very well but I will try to write about Odessa. This is for those who call Ukrainian fascists because in the building burned 40 peopleI. all started with the fact that football fans went to peaceful march to watch football, of course all these people are patriots, they dressed patriotically, someone took the Ukrainian flag.Going, they shouted: Glory to Ukraine! Glory to Heroes! Then, pro-Russian people started to run out with bats and guns. They started to beat and shoot the Ukrainians.and then football fans began to defend themselves, they bring nothing, they took stones and began to fend off pro-Russian activists.Then football fans joined residents as collectively began to repel the attacks. But the pro-Russian activists had guns , the first death was on the Ukrainian side, they killing 5 people.then the police came but half of them did nothing but another half was with separatists (in separatists and police was red bandage on hands). Ukrainian was more, they refused the attack and went on to tents separatists, they set fire to their. Behind those tents was the home unions. In this building were separatists. They were shooting from the windows and Molotov cocktail. In response Ukrainians also cast. But nobody do not know who has set fire to the house. Perhaps separatists set fire to his own negligence. Because it started burning building on 6 floor. Patriots physically not can to cast the Molotov cocktails. Whatever it was, I did not feel sorry for those people that are burned, they sold themselves to Putin. How many people are separatists and the Russians killed and tortured for punishment finally came separatists. P. S. part of people who been burned have been Russians

There are many videos showing People throwing Molotovs to the first Floor. So there where many dumb fanatics BUT it really cant be the cause that so many died on the upper floor. Thats a mystery to me and why they could not hide i other floors of the building.

Antoha0102 Lol, a guy who supports former KGB Vladimir "The Butcher of Grozny" Putin is accusing others of bias. What's more likely? That this is all some massive plot from the West to steal Ukraine or that Ukraine wanted to be more Western because the West is better? Why aren't there millions of people trying to immigrate to Russia? Because Russia is a shit hole with shitty living conditions and shitty life expectancy. The Ukrainian president was a puppet, he was removed by the legally elected parliament. The reason Russia's neighbours are all EU or NATO is because they used to be conquered by Russia and the West offered them freedom and prosperity. Face it, Russia is behind all this, no one wants to be part of Russia, that's why they're all immigrating to the West. You are all victims of propaganda because if there's one thing Russians are good at, its being tricked by their oppressive overlords.

Dafttar Yes Kiev does believe these people can vote the way they want that is why they are going to have an election of the 25 of May. These people don't want to vote because they know they will be in the minority. The only reason we don't see more confrontation between Pro-Russians and Pro-Ukrainians is that the Russians beat any who doesn't agree with them and stalks unity protests and then attacks them as well.
@vFUZZYv

These people don't want to have elections controlled by the Oligarchs of Ukraine they want a referendum to seek a) Federalization from Ukraine or b) Seek annexation from Russia. Watch the episode of Time: 'Inside a white supremacist militia in Ukraine'. The Ukrainian army used dozens of far right militias in their second wave of sending in troops into Eastern Ukraine. The reason is that thousands of soldiers of the first wave didn't know what to do as there was nobody fo fight. They surrendered or deserted, and gave up their military hardware. The second wave started to kill innocent civilians in order to escalate the situation.

I would join Russia if given the choice. For one the Russian economy is at least somewhat stable, it controls its own energy and much of its own manufacturing. Not to mention for the old folks pensions are higher in Russia. Not to mention the healthcare in Russia is at least better than the Ukrainians. Also, Russia is at least morally clean, so they don't tolerate sodomites and aren't flooded with third world invaders like here in the so called " West", which isn't all that "Western" anymore. But if people like the Right Sector and Svoboda can somehow gain power in the rest of the Ukraine and set up a Nationalist regime there, than I would proudly support them. But as for eastern Ukraine, give it up to the Russians.

I am okay with the people declaring themselves independent but.. I don't think this is a right way to start a new country or a region in order to later join Russia. Most people decided to go for protests, the economy of the region is put onto a halt. They do not need protesters to seize police stations to get weapons and finding their missing members. Why not set up a police force to deal with the investigatons, mobilize the army to defend the area, disband the protests and focus on rebuilding the newly created country?

Ryan Sachio Ryan, it's easy ot see why these people would rebel. They were about to lose their jobs because the coal mines have always been unprofitable. The IMF wanted the government to privitize and shut down unprofitable sectors of the economy. Well they ended up losing their jobs anyway after rebelling because it's still unprofitable.

Propaganda..Propaganda..Propaganda.. One side reports one thing and the loyal viewers start pointing finger, the other side reports something else and their viewers start pointing fingers and making assumptions. To anyone reading, trust me when I tell you that there is more to this than Pro-Russians being bad guys and Pro-Ukrainians being good(or the opposite). Things are never as simple as they seem and unlike movies, video games or anything else that influences us there is no such thing as a good side and a bad side. Just depends how and who you're getting your information from.

Except Euromaidan didn't really kick off until Yanukovych had his thugs beat down the actually-peaceful protestors and everybody else in the general vicinity in November. Then and only then did the protests turn into riots. The protestors/rioters at Euromaidan also didn't storm every police station that they found, ransack said police stations of weapons, or take administrative buildings. In contrast, the pro-Russians are instigating violence and then crying about how "peaceful" they were being. The police aren't going out to beat down the pro-Russian protestors either -- they're holed up in their own goddamn police stations that the pro-Russians feel they need to siege. Euromaidan was peaceful at first, and the protestors were unarmed. The pro-Russians on the other hand go straight for every weapon that they can get their hands on.

99% of people here dont understand this conflict, yet they blame Russia for everyting. There are no so called ethnic-Russians living in eastern Ukraine. They are east-slavs, just like others migrating from all ovber the place settled back in 9th century. In Soviet times, all CIS republics had 1 primary language - Russian, alltho native language of every republic was respected, learned and preserved. Basically all people over 35 in former USSR republics speak Russian. Ukrainian language actually became distinguished and developed from Belorussian and Russian only in the beginning of 19th century! So not only ethnically we are the same, Ukraine itself is not an established nation with thousands of years of History as nationalists claim. Yes it has a rich history but it wasnt a Ukraine but a Kiev's Rus. As i smoked weed during History lessons and dont remeber much, thanks to Wikipedia we can all learn once again. Now, regarding this conflict. Forget Crimea for a moment, will get there. What happens now is Ukrainians fighting Ukrainians.. full stop. Ukrainians elected that moron Yanukovich democratically, a majority, everyone accepted the outcome (internationally), normal democratic elections, won by slight majority but then again, Bush won over that Gore guy by how many votes? Few hundreds? Thats it, some presidents make popular decisions, some dont. Some are more corrupted, some less, but he wasnt a dictator, he was elected as a president and should remain president untill the end of his term. By not making that popular decisions for trade agreement with EU, he angered atleast half of population. But economically it was more viable for Ukraine to survive and have some growth doing trade with Russia for a while rather than EU. It wasnt permanent but a strategic decision since Putin offered good terms. Then a bunch of Maidan protesters come and oust the president illegaly. A puppet governemnt is sworn in, West immediately gives them support and turmoil begins. Next thing you know, there are law bills limiting Russian language (read above, Ukrainian language is only about 200 years old), Russian media etc. So wait a minute, they didnt wait for next elections, they decided to overthrow the government, install their own puppets and oppress half of the population. Is this a democracy? Yanukovich is one stupid and greedy bastard and i am glad he is gone but not this way, we cannot have selective justice, law and costitution must be respected. So, these new amateur polititian clowns in Kiev didnt have any tactics apart from preaching Ukraine for Ukrainians. They forgot that Crimea (see, told u i would get here) was Russian just a few decades ago and given to Ukraine as a present by a drunk bold fuck Khrouschev (he was Ukrainian, duh)... thats the guy who took his shoe off and started banging on the table during UN summit. (search KZbin "Khruschev- We will bury you"). Putin did not miss an opportunity, Russia had 25.000 troop contingent there as part of Black sea fleet. Nobody forced them to vote at the gunpoint, they overtook regional administration building just like in other parts of Eastern Ukraine but Ukrain didnt have balls to send troops there and face 25.000 Russian army. This is why they had freedom to install their own administration and their own elections. Perfect example of self-determination. They had a choice to become an autonomy, federative state or become part of Russia. Thats what they did. Now, some will think why would Russia risk so much for a tiny piece of land. Well, Crimea was a spark that caused the fire, other regions also wanted self determination since Ukrainian governemnt did not respect their rights, they did not elect them. So, stop blaming Russia for whatever happened in Ukraine but another clan of corrupted polititians and nationalists as bad as Yanukovich. Ukraine will break up, its game over.
