Week 7 of 10k training is over, and today I recap what I did, the runs I completed and how I’m feeling as we near the end of the training block.
I’ve now dropped the long run in weeks 7 and 8 for more tempo and threshold work. I feel it’ll be more beneficial as we fine tune the training for the PB attempt, and it’s also an area I think I need to do more work on, especially running at around threshold pace.

One more week to go now, and then onto the solo time trial to see if my 10k running has improved from 41.24, I set at the end of 2023.
I feel this block has been beneficial and I have managed to introduce new elements into my training, particularly more intervals, more hills and more intensity.
What will come of all this? Look out in the next week or so, for my TT vlog to see what I managed to run, or better still follow me on Strava to see all my training as it happens!
