@@robertvanruyssevelt7159 what amazes me about Josh and Allison is that stripped-down arrangements like this are actually, in my estimation, the hardest things to record well. The magic of fuller production is that any mistakes or poor tone can get blended in easily to the background noise of a larger ensemble of instrumentation. Josh and Allison typically keep things very sparse and intimate, which means an otherwise slight inadequacy would become glaring. It speaks to their musicianship and the quality of their ears that they can make this type of arrangement sound so fantastic.

Something about your somewhat stripped back version, with just guitar and vocals, barely any harmonies, it has given the lyrics and the song as a whole so much more room to breathe.
