The Coly Boy I personally hated the first one as it killed off the team in it which is suppose to be what mission impossible is all about. It lead directly to 2 which was all about cruise and exactly what the tv show wasn’t about. The team is what made mission impossible different than James Bond . As each member was suppose to bring some individual skill sets to the team. 3 and onward at least brought the team concept into this franchise

I loved the first Mission Impossible, the second was kind of average, while the third had a great set up, just a crap second half which is typical of JJ's productions.

wow, Dan was really excited... I love MI3, I believe JJ put a lot of new stuff here, primary, that it wasn't just Ethan Hunt (the building scene, you expect watching him getting the rabbits foot but you get instead a conversation with the other two agents, Declan and Zhen while he was at it) because MI2 was more like "this is super agent Ethan Hunt, with some asistant" but MI3 was again about the team and after that it was Bad Robot the one producing the movies up to these days.

I just rewatched all the previous MI films, here my best to worst: MI:(5)Rogue Nation MI:(4)Ghost Protocol MI:3 MI:1 MI:2 No real surprises in that order, however MI:1 has a different feel to it than other offerings in the franchise. Despite a few interesting action scenes it's more of a cerebral spy film. I had thought MI:2 would be the clear outlier of the series, but surprisingly it was not quite as bad as I thought I remembered it being, still pretty bad though. I will never forgive the speeding-motorcycle-flying-chestbump scene, but in terms of action it kinda feels closer to the other films than MI:1 does.
@Papadoc19816 жыл бұрын
LOL! I can forgive that motorcycle scene, though to be fair, both guys should have been liquefied after that collision. What I found unforgivable was Hunt running full sprint at a guy and stopping on a dime while doing a backflip kick. Even as a kid watching that for the first time I thought it was ridiculous. And your list is about the same as mine except MI 4-5 is like 1A and 1B for me.
@christophermartin34416 жыл бұрын
The only reason MI5 might beat MI4 instead of tying, and this isn't even a complaint, is that the bad guy in MI4, Kurt (Cobalt) Hendricks seems less developed as a character in the story. I wouldn't even say that he's really "under-developed", but when you compare him to MI3's Owen Davian and MI5's Solomon Lane, he just isn't as charismatic... or intimidating. I'm not saying that all villains have to be those things; Hendricks is not an ineffective antagonist. Just preference, I guess. MI4 is still 2nd on the list for all the other reasons that it's awesome, but I'm sincerely hoping MI6 bumps MI4 to 3rd on the list.
@chs_ambs83566 жыл бұрын
M:I2 gets a lot of disrespect, but I actually loved it. The chemistry between Tom Cruise and Thandie Newton was phenomenal and I think Dougray Scott was a great villain. The hatred he had for Ethan Hunt was palpable.
