I Know I had said it a few times before, however you really have excelled with this video lads! Your choice of filming to include considerable content showing you working as a team and being in the scenes really made me feel I was there with you and when you were traversing the decks and looking over the side I even felt myself leaning with you. I always enjoy what you produce, but this was on another level from all aspects of your production. Thanks very much.

Great footage of how the MV Alta looked, back in 2022. She has deteriorated a lot since then, having weathered many a storm. What an amazing back story, this old ship has. It’s remarkable that she even reached her present location, having drifted without a crew, for so long.

Cool video! I don't think it cracked in half, it was cut open to remove any leftover fuel and oil to prevent contamination.
@liamkatt64349 ай бұрын
No, it was cracked in half by storms. There was very little oil left, most in sealed units. Talks were held about towing it out and scuttling it and with scrap dealers that came to nothing. So it was left for the sea to break up.

The 'cabin with all the belongings' showing what is the heart of the fire is actually the bridge and most of what you see scattered on the floor there were old navigation aids and bridge equipment. It probably wasn't the heart of the fire but because that part of the superstructure is aluminium, it completely melted in sections unlike the lower steel sections which have a might higher melting point. Very interesting video, it looks like a roro to me, so would have had vehicles on those open decks.

The MV Alta ( her seventh name ) was something of a mystery prior to her being abandoned and still hold’s a lot of unknown secret’s, she was whole when she went on the rocks. A great video showing how she is today although a sad. At 17:20 on coming out of the hatch someone said right at the stern in fact you were on the bow.

A very interesting video. I have been following the MV Alta story, since she was driven ashore. Time has taken its toll on this once grand vessel. She is completely split in half and I fear that she won’t survive the ravages of the weather for too much longer. I bet that the ship was well looted before the fire, all the navigation and radar equipment would have been robbed very likely by trophy hunters.I’m surprised the forklift was left onboard, it can’t be rescued now.Thanks for filming this explore for us.

Lovely video, great to see the interior , shame it is so fire damaged I expect the Irish are quite pleased with their new "tourist attraction " ,I do not think the two half's drifted apart just the middle part has collapsed with the action of the sea and over time the power sea will demolish the rest of the ship.

I’m surprised that there’s even as much as this left of the MV Alta. The forces of nature are claiming this old vessel, this is inevitable after all the time she has been there. I’ve been following the story of the MV Alta, since she was forced onto the rocks, by Storm Dennis. A great and daring explore. There will soon be far less left of the wreck. Well done guys, I admire your bravado! You got a spectacular view when you climbed to the top of the gantry. Rather you than me, as I don’t have a good head for heights! Welcome to Ireland guys. Cant believe that in the 21st century a ship like that would be allowed wander around the ocean on its own, it could have hit anything from a taker to a cruse ship and God knows what the outcome of that could have been. Unlike my attempt which the weather ruined and it turned out just to dangerous you got a good day for it. Nice explore thanks.

Fantastic work. But please be weary of confined space fellas. That engine room could have been depleted of oxygen with all that corrosion inside. What usually happens is the first guy passes out, then so do any rescuers. Then everyone suffocates. It's known as the silent killer. It's always so unexpected.

It would appear that roughly Aug 2022 or shortly before there was another fire on the ship that transferred to some of the nearby field (I'm guessing the cliff hiding ferns... And now there is talk of removal of the ship before further health and safety related incidents occur. This was pretty cool to see this exploration... too bad you all were not able to make it before the initial fire..
