No wonder you are considered the safest pilot on You Tube. You were interrupted by a radio call with an incoming aircraft and you went right back to your checklist. You didn't get a "gotta get outta here before the other guy tries to land" anxiety and stuck with it. Really terrific work sir! You fly in a very important and dangerous environment doing God's work. Keep it up!

My dad was a pilot and we had our own plane for a while when I was growing up. One of the big rules was we stood well back from the aircraft quietly while dad was doing the pre-flight. If we shut down and left sight of the aircraft, it got pre-flighted again before we went on our way. He didn't trust refuelers either. He'd stick the tanks and make darn sure the caps were on properly (he found one loose on more than one occasion).

Great to see the Caravan, I remember when they first appeared in Australia is the mid 80's. A show off model was sent to Bankstown Airport Sydney and the pilot quickly learned the forward visibility of the ground is very limited after he taxied it into a refueling bowser. It had a 3 bladed composite propeller, the blades looked like witches brooms.

Loved this flight. Would like for you to continue (audience preferences considered) any IFR flight videos you can provide. 20 Years ago I flew a Piper 28-161 from Laurel MD to Sao Paulo Brazil (& back) which was basically lots of IFR dead reconning, starting with initial fixes being low power NDB and an occasional VOR. I flew it at very low power settings and that's how I got the "legs" to get the distances. In that kind of flying, you really have to pay attention to everything.

Another fine video Ryan - full of information and insight and as ever beautifully filmed and edited. I've finally got round to trying the RNAV-Y approach into Goroka. It took a lot of setting up given my simmulator's relatively simple GPS and autopilot arrangement, plus not being familiar with flying glideslopes I felt the need to do some do some basic mathematics to check the three percent descent rate. When executed it worked well enough but my autopilot/GPS seems better adapted to Dive and Drive rather than glideslope so for Goroka I'm still happy to use your Cloud Breaker procedure.

For those that don’t roast coffee, anybody can buy green coffee in the states for around $6 per pound. Each pound of green once roasted would sell for around $30, there is weight lost in roasting. I don’t do purchasing, but I would guess at this stage in its journey the coffee is only worth $2/pound at most.

Trivia: The boxes, velocity vector combined with flight director is sometimes referred to as Highway in the Sky (HiTS). It was developed for general aviation aircraft by the NASA Advanced General Aviation Transport Experiment (AGATE) project. It was demonstrated in the early 2000's. NASA AGATE also developed the certification basis for PFD and MFD in GA.
