This is great.... Our season ended Sunday, it was 11 degrees when we went out and increased to 13 at sunset. I did not see any but my Son saw a few. I'm waiting for your season in review. I hope you add a nice one from Mississippi.

On public land hunt closer to the road in late season there is more food because early on the hunters push them further back

Catman......do you think you might have been busted due to the lack of camo? I know it probably doesn't make much difference for you when you're up a tree in your saddle, but on the ground it would probably help.

I've hunted in a variety of camo and no camo, and can say pretty confidently that noise, movement and scent will get you busted before anything you wear.

@@CatmanOutdoors I agree, you can get away with any other colors probably except for blue. Check out the video the University of Georgia put out on their study of deer vision. I also think breaking up the silhouette of the head and shoulders also makes a big difference (but thats just me).

Another example of the Catman’s outstanding hunting and self-videography skills, and under very tough conditions, at that. Sure would’ve loved that buck to respond to calling, but kudos for not just letting an arrow fly. I keep on saying that one year I’ll get back down to my native home state and experience the Dixie rut. As evidenced here, I know it won’t be easy, and decisions, decisions in deciding where to go. Sure glad y’all experienced some Mississippi hospitality with a safe place to camp.

Most of the land where I live called nature conservancy u can hunt but no tree stands latter stands. Ground blinds only. No wheeled vehicles or animals. That’s Maine for ya

@@atlanticocean640 sounds horrible. Im in N.W Florida on the beach surrounded by air force land which is Eglin wildlife management. Anything goes except actually nailing into trees and all hunting equipment must be removed at end of season. I get why they do it but it Doesn't sound like Maine is hunter friendly.
