I am having an orchid haul for my orchid anniversery, which I plan to get 24 and beat my orchid haul record of 19. I am 13 years and 9 months old and when I was eleven and ten months old I saw my first ever non-phalaenopsis which got me interested in growing orchids. I must thank you for you have greatly helped me with growing orchids, which orchids have been woth me through all my middle school and junior high changes and I plan to keep for life.

I vote for David Sanders, its one of my favs in my collection next to my Brassavola Tubercullata. In regards to your Trichoglottis, I also had some issues keeping it hydrated here in Miami so I wrapped long strands of sphag on her roots to retain some of that moisture when I misted her arial roots and it helped. I picked up some great tips from your vids now Im returning the favor, happy growing!

I laughed at the Rhyncholvola found in a super market. Oddly enough that is how I found my Vanda, on a discount shelf of a grocery store. She didnt' have blooms then and I am just now getting her care sorted out so maybe one day with a lot of luck I will know what color her blooms are. Thanks for all the great advice. :)

Danni your orchids are so beautiful! Thanks to you I purchased a Oncidium Sharry Baby recently and she is getting ready to bloom, I'm so excited!! That yellow no ID cattleya is lovely, I love how golden it looks.

For the Trichoglottis maybe consider making a mount out of plastic garden mesh zip tied or wired into a cylinder shape as long as you want it, fill it with bark and sphag or peat chunks. That way you can soak it and have it retain some moisture without the need for daily watering or it breaking down too fast. Many of our local growers use this method for Trichoglottis and Bulbophyllums with great success, of course not home growers but it's still worth considering or at least some inspiration for your own take on it.

I have a recommendation for the Trichoglottis: pot it in a pot that is large enough to fit a column of wire (the one with 1cm square holes). You can then put it in there and fill the column and the pot with bark, so the roots that sprout from the stem can find their way in there.

All your orchids look fantastic. I have a question though if you don't mind. I have a brassia hybrid whose spike broke as it began to bud. Is it possible that it could branch like a phalenopsis, or should I cut it? Thank you in advance and I greatly appreciate all the tips and tricks I've learned from your videos.

Hello my girlfriend just picked me up a sweet little orchid trouble is she didn't notice that it was sitting in water. The roots were all rotten. I trimmed them off and mounted it on some driftwood with sphagnum moss. Is there any chance of saving it. It has beautiful white flowers healthy looking leaves

Hi Danni. So glad I found your channel & have been progressively watching all your videos. However I have an important question. In your earlier videos you grew your orchids in water culture. In your recent videos I see that you have reverted back to growing in bark . As I have just put my orchid into water culture am worried now that I have done the wrong thing! 😱😱 Please advise so I can stop stressing 🥵 Cheers from Western Australia.

I have never seen a Princess Jacky-appearing orchid. I am watching closely ! Is there a new name for the Sharry Baby as some nurseries providing our shops with orchids have replied with... 'that must be an older type of orchid which we no longer have... I was surprised. I really want a Brassavola for Christmas for the night-time perfume. Nelly Eisler was so nice for the daytime but now she is resting.

Wonderful review as always, and your Cattleya hybrids look good (most tend to like warm conditions.) If I may be _that guy_ , pedant me, I want to encourage you to write your favorite white Cattleya hybrid as: Cattleya NOID "Princess Jacky" . Individual cultivars should have delimiters (the quote mark), and since you don't know the actual identification, writing NOID communicates to others the situation.
