Over the past few years I’ve watched all your videos and love the channel. Now that you are in Missouri I think it would be fascinating content to have Grant Woods or someone from his team come make a management plan for your property and help decide what area is best to sell considering deer management.

I brush hogged my pastures Tuesday and Wednesday and after the first one my butt was dead. Then Thursday mowed the lawn and after that I was done! I had a buck come up tonight for corn and he either didn't grow an antler on one side or he broke it off already. The last 3 nights we had close to 15 deer out there. I think the turkeys watch when I bring out the buckets of corn. The Tom's are fun to watch

Looking go Joe. The micro plots are a interesting idea. My place lays alot like yours.

Thanks. At least for now it's a decent start. I try to draw deer in from sanctuary areas so we mostly travel the interior and come fall stay out of the most of the woods. I needs a bunch of new clearcuts yet but that will be down the road.

Just watched Sharon's video and knew you screwed up mowing the front without her there, too funny 😂

Such a shame nobody wanted the hay field but unless it had been fertilised earlier in the year it doesn't look like there was much bulk yield in the grass 🤔😐 absolutely stunning drone shots on a beautiful day over a stunning countryside 💪💪👌

Maybe look into getting a bat wing mower. You could cut closer to 3x faster

I do have a 12 footer. Was having some tractor issues so I was using the 6 footer. Soon I'll be taking out the batwing! Good call thanks

Just curious, how are you keeping the elk farm elk out of your property, they will wipe out your food plots.
@KapperOutdoors2.04 ай бұрын
They are in a high fence and the neighbor is very responsible. I don't anticipate any problems. Fingers crossed!!

Were any of these grasses good enough to make hay for some Cattle?

We are supposed to have it cut. We had to give it away just to get someone to cut it. He was supposed to start this weekend but I don't know if he has yet or not.

Would your kids want to invest in a couple hundred acres? Keep most of the 575 in the family, maybe. About 11:50, what is that white streak in the trees to the right?
@KapperOutdoors2.04 ай бұрын
I've already asked them. Too expensive for them at least at this point in life. That streak looks like maybe a rock ledge with the sun hitting it. I'll have to explore it! Thanks

No doubt. I do have a 12 footer I just have to get it transported over to MO. A 15' would be nicer but for now I'll keep the 12 since it's paid for! Thanks

Whoo Wee Joe, looks like you have a million miles to go to get things prepped right. My thinking is you'd be better off making your new land into a CONSERVATION AREA instead of for mainly hunting.
