Love that bag. I may sew a short layer to the lining, as a inside pocket

Beautiful tutorial and explained the process very well. I love the bag and with a a few design mods, like a few inside pockets, this will make a great kitting/crochet project bag. I will eventually get around for making one for the grand kids too lol.

This bag is so cute! All those pockets are awesome. I didn't see the dimensions though so what are they? Thank You for sharing this with us. Great tutorial, clear instructions & You show every step of the process. Very well Done. I would enjoy seeing more of Your tutorials :) I think I may make a matching wallet & zippered coin purse to go with this bag. :)

The finished bag measures about 13" x 12" x 3 1/2". A matching wallet is a great idea!

Cute tote! Thanks for the tutorial. Would this pattern work well with fusible fleece instead of the foam? Thanks

Hi Laura. Thank you for the very clear instructions on the crib quilt and the tote bag. I’ve made both several years ago and am now inspired to make them again. I’m wondering if you could do a tutorial on a small tote bag for an infant. I call it a ‘church bag’ since it is small and very little would need to go in it. Maybe a diaper, pacifier, a bottle. I think it would need a pocket for the bottle. It would be a small tote when you didn’t want to use the large diaper bag. Many years ago a friend made them out of pink or blue gingham and I think used eyelet lace, very dainty and screamed sweet baby! I think it would make a wonderful baby gift. I’m really happy MSQ has this new feature of sewing for kids, just endless possibilities.

Laura, I liked the conciseness with which you taught your tutorial. I am headed to my sewing room to make one asap. I have made a smaller tote with six pockets and a little smaller than yours. My sewing machine doesn't like the thickness at the bottom seams and skips stitches. What advice can you give me for that? I wonder if my machine is too old????

Does the pattern come with the fusible foam? I notice it has a picture on the packaging.
@SliceofPiQuilts3 жыл бұрын
No pattern is included in the fusible foam package. This one has more pockets than the one pictured. (Yay for more pockets!)

Is there a pattern we can buy for the written measurements?
@Jen-CelticWarrior3 жыл бұрын
Carrie W, if you click on the supplies link in the drop down for the video, that will take you to the MSQC website for the supplies needed as well as a pattern for the project that can be purchased. Hope this helps!😊
